Hello, I am Rigsandbill. I am here to tell you about how to make a good story, so people can create better ones than some of their current "novels", which in reality are only a few paragraphs. Anyway, enough about me, you probably want help creating a good story. Here it is.
CHAPTERS:
1- Ideas
2- Getting Started
3- Marketing your story
4- Steps to Success
5- Other Help
CHAPTER 1: IDEAS
Ever had trouble thinking up an idea? Well, I do sometimes. I suggest you think about what kind of story you want to write. What makes you feel good and what catches people's attention? If you like being an agent, you might want to write a war story. Only, please don't use names as they can bother others. If you are a girl, you might talk about, say, a penguin party that you enjoyed. Except twist the plot and add some action.
CHAPTER 2: GETTING STARTED
The first step of writing a story is to get a good title sentence. For example, "Dark waves splattered the beach" would be better than "the beach was wet". See what I mean? Try to use similes, metaphors, and alliteration. Talking discussions may not work well to begin a sentence, but they go splendidly at the beggining of a paragraph. Try to start out your story with an exciting sentence. If you can't think of any, use your imagination. It isn't that hard. Using cliff-hangers at the end of a paragraph can also keep readers interested, so try that, too.
CHAPTER 3: MARKETING YOUR STORY
I'm not an expert on getting your story to be read, but I can say a few tips. First of all, don't say "Great Story !!!11! Read N0WW!!!" as a title. Choose a more thrilling title, or one that signifies that your story is an adventure or chiller or etcedara. Don't create a whole blog for your story, this is a waste of time, unless your story is a large series of installments. Don't spam in other people''s threads, telling them to read your story. Those are my two cents.
CHAPTER 4:STEPS TO SUCCESS
These are probably the top things you should do when making your story:
1- Choose a good title. Noone will bother to read stories with bad titles.
2- Don't say stuff like, "0Mg!!1" and "lolzywhoah!" If you do, no one will bother to see what else you have to say, in case it is also weird talk.
3- Make your story long, or expand on it. Nobody likes short stories usually, so try to improve your short stories using the skills in Chapter 2. Or write a lengthier story to begin with.
4- Aim to please your audience. Try to find something that everbody can enjoy.
5- Practice Makes Better. If your story is bad, rewrite it in your head and think about what you can do to make it better. Practice writing excercises. (Okay, don't pactice that stuff, but you know what I mean).
CHAPTER FIVE: OTHER HELP:
Do you need help with writing a story? Feel free to ask me, or somebody else. It can make you a much better storyteller.
Well, I'm sorry, but that's all I know. Maybe you can write a great story now!
