The armor was light, but it was strong. It would take a really sharp sword, and a really hard strike to penetrate it.

The flame pattern on the sides makes it look like Pyrosus fashioned it himself. Did he, Roh?

He lashed out with his sword and cut the dragon's face. At the same time, the dragon stabbed Toran with his massive claws. Toran fell to the ground, with a mortally wounded dragon above him. Toran pulse was slowly receding to nothing.

Cimmorene. I'm using all the energy I have left to help you. Know that, when I am dead, I will still help you. I can still talk to you with my mind. All you have to do is think a reply and I will here it. Kill Kazul for me, and for our land.

Ok, this isn't part of the story. I know how to end it. Cimmorene can go to Toran's cabin. When she's laying in bed, thoughts of what happened and Toran dying go through her head. The nshe falls asleep. I think that would be a fine ending.
