I have seen this on a few other forums, and I was just wondering if it was a good idea for this forum.

There are many forumers on this forum. Many of them are really good posters.
Maybe the moderaters could set up a poll with names of forumers they have seen that have been sufficient posters.
Then the current members could vote.
The poster of the month could have the right to have something saying (Ex:RFS March 2007 poster of the month).

Tell me what you think.
If you do not think it is a good idea, please do not post something like "WORST IDEA EVER!"

no it wouldn't the poster of the month would be counted as the one who made the "Best" posts not the most

Will you at least read the thread before you start that "that is spam" nonsense?

He is talking about a poll to vote on who is being the most helpful each month.

It's a fine idea, but it would have to be something managed by an individual user. We can't play favorites here on the staff. :P

No. For various reasons.

Like RFS said, if you want to organise something yourselves, fine. But the staff won't be holding any competitions or giving out any special ranks.
