There are 3 buttons that are alone on your keyboard on the top right. When you have what you want the picture to look like on the screen, press the one that says Print Screen/SysRq. Then press Ctrl+C on paint and there is your screenshot. From there you can save and upload it on www.photobucket.com, www.imageshack.com, www.imagecave.com, or www.tinypic.com. Hope this solved your problem. ;)

To take a screenshot . . .

1. Go to place where you want to take the screenshot.
2. Find the button on your keyboard usually near 512 that says Prt Scr or Print Screen
3. Go to Paint or another editing program and paste it.
4. Cut it so you have the part that you want as your avvy.
5. Save it. Don't save as Bmp. Save as Jpg.
6. Go to User CP on the forums.
7. Go to Edit Avatar.
8. Go way down to the bottom of the page and click Browse.
9. Look for your picture, and then click it.
10. The box next to Browse should have text in it.
11. Click Save Avatar
12. Voila!

Hope this helps.

They told you on a PC But on a mac, press shift + command + 3 OR Shift + command + 4, which lets you crop the image without a program.

To Edit On A Mac

Once You have taken a screenshot, click on the image on your desktop and save it as something in preview (Save it as a jpeg or gimp) Once saved, go into the program you edit a picture with, which for me is photoshop CS2. Press command + O. Search your image and click on it. It should show up and you can edit it.
