They are good for a beginner. They have a large space for improvment.

Try different programs such as Photoshop. You will ahve a wider range of tools that you can work with.

Not bad, but not that good either. Lots of them are just the same pattern pasted all over the rest of the picture.

dosent photoshop cost like $700? im not going to pay that much money just for an art program.

Yes, it does. GIMP is basically Photoshop, just a little different and free. I use it, and love it.

I've got Photoshop CS3 Extended Edition Full Version, it's what I use... It's got everything... I suggest it, but then again it's very expensive... :|
