This is a story entirely made up due to a Role-Playing event.
It turned out so popular, i decided to take it to the next level and make it a real story.
Please comment on your opinions, also, if you can, please give me some advice/improvements.
I am not that talented at this sort of stuff like you guys, so please don't take it too hard on me, much appreciated.
I have made the Summary in white text, for those of you who like to find out more as you read along, instead of reading the Blurb first.
I shall edit this post to add more chapters, but if it exceeds the 30,000 character rule, i shall post the chapter in a new post.
I have finished the story, the next chapters are in the next posts of this thread ;)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Summary (Highlight below):

Many many years ago, there was a City Of Evil. It was dark, and mysterious, many brave warriors tried to invade it, but got eliminated...by fear. So many secrets were spilt, but none the less, harder and harder to get to. There was one secret, only the darkest creatures alive knew of. But the darkest creatures were eliminated too, by Death. Death was a true evil spirit, constantly rising and rising into the most powerful emperors of the City. Death found a secret that was worth more than any living creature could imagine of...

This secret was inside a box, full of emotions and powerful souls... The Spiritual Box. It could only be opened by chanting dark ancient magic, taught in The City Of Evil. Death had once found a very helpful emotion...fear. He cleverly got past the remaining obstacles, and alas, the box shined upon him. But before he could even touch the box, it simply vanished into thin air.

From that moment, Death became unusually power-hungry, even though he had enough power that anyone could imagine of...
From that moment, Death set hunt for the box, and for many years, has been using his cleverness to track the box down, and knows where to find it. According to his logic, it is located in the deep earths underneath a Humongous City, the biggest City in the world... The City Of Realms. As Death entered this populated City, many human beings looked scared. Death used fear against any obstacles, and as usual, used his logic to find where this mysterious box lyed under. He had a vague idea... The Realms Cemetery. And from that point, many other strange living souls, like Death, were on a hunt to find the box...

--Chapter One--

‘Zektoria Aslyum!’ The darkness swirled, ghoulish screams, laughter’s and whispers swam across the room. The Spiritual Box creaked open, deep down it reflected Death’s lit up eyes. Death carefully craned his arm into the Box, he could feel the watery emotions, even the souls. He placed his hand around an unknown emotion, carefully pulled it up, the light almost touched it…

‘EMPEROR!’ Death woke up as if someone had poured ice cold water on him. One of his Entorium Demons was staring at Death nerviously, his fiery red-hot eyes lit up the dungeon. ‘What is it, Demon?’ asked Death, angrily. ‘Nothing sir, you were twitching and turning, muttering strange curses in your sleep’ replied the Demon, with a hint of concern on his face. ‘The Box haunts me…It teases me, for I am losing my soul, mirages happen from time to time, I even dream of The Spiritual Box, as you had just witnessed, my noble Demon’
Death slowly got up, his cloak swiftly floating, his face was hidden, although his emerald green eyes outstood the dungeons darkness. ‘Sir, we have spent enough time in the City of Evil’s ruins, should we not carry on our journey to the Realm?’ the Demon asked, with a look of hunger of his face. ‘Be patient, Demon. We shall hunt down the Box, and eliminate any obstacle that comes within our way. You cannot forget, I hold a powerful weapon, steadily balanced in my mind, ready to lift off… fear’

--Chapter Two--

‘ROLLY! WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU?’ yelled Jamie. ‘Not to use elf magic on your food…’ replied Rollinter. Jamie and Rollinter were hunters, they were powerful living beings. Jamie was a young parentless wizard, raised in Elementor, the village where magic was made. Rollintor was an elf and also was parentless, but he was the ruler of his elf kingdom, Grentoria.
One day, he found a strange crooked staff lying on the floor, in a strange park, he got hold of it and felt it heat up, and a flash of green light occurred. The next thing Jamie knew, he was spinning round and round until he landed feet-first into a huge green field. And that was when he met Rollinter, who also somehow landed there. From that moment, they swore they would be hunters, searching for gold and treasury, always as a pair.
A couple of years later, as they were walking on a never-ending path, a piece of glowing paper floated by. It had a strange map, with a cross somewhere.
It read:
The City of Realms: Go forth to the ghastly cemetery, where ancient gravestones lie, and curses await, spirits swim around the treasure, along with light beams, glistening in every direction, but one shall lead you to the Spiritual Box. Follow it, but beware, you may lose your soul on the way…
~ Death
Jamie and Rollinter swore to each other, that no matter what came in their way, they would find this ‘Death’ and get to the Box, although they had no clue what was inside it…

‘Argh, where is my backpack?’ Jamie asked. They were in an ancient unknown camp, looking for signs or clues that would lead them to the City of Realms. Every now and then, they would look at the clouds, and see if they would turn into a shape that was a clue, but luck wasn’t on their side. Once or twice, Rollinter could have sworn that the clouds were a hand touching a Box, but Jamie always disagreed. ‘Look, I doubt there would be any clues here, I mean, just look at this place, it’s just a bunch of ruins with no life whatsoever’ commented Rollinter, starting to get irritated. ‘Rolly, you always say that, though you are always wrong, now hurry up and summon my backpack’
Rollinter looked at Jamie bitterly, and then muttered some elf curses…

WHAM! The backpack hit Jamie right on the back of his head. ‘ROLLY! STOP BEING SO GRUMPY! We MUST find the path to the City of Realms, or we are just stuck on a piece of land that is nowhere near anything nor life!’
‘Oh, don’t be too sure about that…’ echoed an unfamiliar, deep cold voice.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--Chapter Three--

‘Sir, we should move faster, or else the other hunters shall cease the Box!’ said the Demon, worryingly. ‘Fear not, my noble Demon, for the hunters do not know, that only I can open the box, simply by chanting dark ancient magic. Should they open it, their soul will be ripped apart.’ Replied Death, calmly.
They were flying slowly, towards the City of Realm, now and then, they would have to move under a cloud, because Death felt weak under the dazzling sunlight.
All of a sudden, in the blink of an eye, a light beam appeared, blocking Death, but the Demon didn’t react and kept on flying. ‘Demon! Stay here at once! It appears this light beam has crossed my powers, acting like a wall.’
The Demon immediately flew back to Death, but looked confused. ‘Sir? There is no light beam, are you daydreaming again?’ asked the Demon, worryingly. Death got impatient. ‘My noble Demon, I am not daydreaming, I can feel it. My logic is telling me that this light beam isn’t just a normal ray of light. Perhaps it is only visible to spirits…
I wonder, could this same beam be spread out in the City of Realms graveyard? There must be some way to get past this…’
The Demon’s eyes lit up, as if a light bulb appeared over his head. ‘My lord, perhaps darkness can extinguish the beam?’
Death grinned. ‘Excellent thinking, my noble Demon…Cantoria Trivium!’
A swirl of darkness appeared, spinning round and round like a hurricane, slowly fading the light away, until at last, the light was no longer visible. ‘Come now, I must find that box, it is my destiny’ Death and the Demon flew away instantly, and staying under the clouds as usual.
After what seemed like a whole day, Death had sight of land. ‘I do not feel the energy, I am certain that this is not the City, however, we shall rest there, I must have energy within me, in order for my powers to work’ suggested Death. Death swiftly glided downwards, but suddenly shuddered and was rooted to the spot. He couldn’t move, and neither could the Demon. ‘My lord, some enchantments have seemed to immobilised us’ muttered the Demon, bitterly. ‘Hmm, I am unfamiliar with this sort of magic, I cannot break free of this force, perhaps you are familiar with it?’ asked Death, calmly. ‘Erm, sir, I am very sorry, but even my logic doesn’t appear to recognize this magic’
Death felt anger boil inside him. ‘NO! This cannot be happening!’
Death looked down at the land, and could have sworn he saw 2 little figures moving fast. ‘I think there is life down there, we must somehow tell them to break this curse, perhaps my lightening can catch their attention…’
The Demon grinned and smirked. ‘Good idea my lord, if these living beings try to curse us again, I shall bring fire upon them…’

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--Chapter Four--

‘Who was that? Hello? Rolly, where are you? If this is one of your elf tricks, I’m going to curse you so bad, that you’ll turn pink!’
It was pitch black and Jamie was on his own. After that strange voice occurred, the sky darkened, and lit up again, but by that time, Rollinter had disappeared. Jamie was holding his staff, ready for any sign of movement, once or twice he heard some rustles, but that was just the willow tree’s blowing in the wind. Then all of a sudden…BANG!

A streak of green light flew up in the air, like a firework, and glittered. It read: I’m ok, come below here, in elf language. It was a sign, made by Rollinter. Jamie saw it, and immediately ran there, slowly and slowly a blurred figure was appearing, until Jamie was about 10 yards away from Rollinter. ‘JAMIE! YOU’RE OK! I WAS SO WOR-AAAAAAAH!’ Rollinter got hit by fire, but didn’t get burnt. ‘Who dares wonder across our territory’ echoed the same cold, deep voice. Jamie and Rollinter quickly ran to each other and carefully looked around. ‘We are Jamie and Rollinter, I, Jamie, am a wizard, and Rollinter is the ruler of Grentoria! And who are you?’

Everything started to shake, Jamie and Rollinter held onto each other to prevent them falling down. ‘ROOOOAAAAAAAAAARRRRR!!!!’
All of a sudden, balls of fire were hurled across, hitting trees. Jamie rubbed his eyes. ‘Is t-that a d-dragon?’ A magnificent figure slowly came into sight, with a small figure sitting on it. ‘I am Drentor, the founder of dragons’
Jamie and Rollinter looked awestruck, as they saw the dragon. It was red hot, and very scaly. Its tail was amazingly long, covered in spikes. Its face was scarred; its eyes were crystal clear orange, with swirls of red. A puff of smoke came out of its incredibly huge nose; it’s razor sharp teeth shined upon Jamie and Rollinter. Sat on top of it, was an elderly man, wearing ragged clothing, with a long white beard, and long messy hair. He wore lots of strange necklaces and bracelets, with ancient writing embedded on them. He was very wrinkled, and wore glasses. He looked sharp, and confident, staring at Jamie and Rollinter with his eagle hazel eyes.

‘What brings you to my ancient island Saphonir?’ asked Drentor, still staring at Jamie and Rollinter with his eagle eyes. ‘Erm, we are searching for clues to help us find some treasure’ replied Jamie, wondering if Drentor would know about it. ‘What treasure? If it is gold and Jewellery, you fools can leave immediately’ muttered Drentor, impatiently. ‘No…sir, we are looking for a Box, a special one, wait a second I have a map somewhere in my robe’ Drentor raised his eyebrows confusingly, whilst Jamie was rummaging around his robes searching for the map that was drawn by someone called Death. Rollinter nudged him, telling him to hurry up, he didn’t want to cross with the dragon, whom was lying down, still breathing puffs of smoke out of it’s nose. After about a minute, Jamie finally found the map and carefully trotted around the dragon. Drentor summoned the map, and read it: The City of Realms: Go forth to the ghastly cemetery, where ancient gravestones lie, and curses await, spirits swim around the treasure, along with light beams, glistening in every direction, but one shall lead you to the Spiritual Box. Follow it, but beware, you may lose your soul on the way…
~ Death

After Drentor had read it, his eyes widened. ‘Death, that wretched spirit…’ muttered Drentor, bitterly. ‘You know him?’ asked Rollinter, eager to hear more. ‘Know him? That evil emperor slayed all of my dragons! Which is why I moved to this island, to get away from that filthy thing, the only dragon I have left is Alomorn’ Drentor nodded his head towards the dragon he was sitting on. Both Jamie and Rollinter paused for a moment, wondering if he would explode if they talked anymore about Death. Trying to get off the subject about Death, Jamie asked: ‘Erm…do you have any ideas or clues of where the City of Realms might be?’ Drentor looked interested. ‘Be you hunters?’ asked Drentor. ‘Yes…sir, we have been a pair since we were 10 years of age’ replied Jamie. ‘Interesting…and yes, I do know of the City, but it is not the most pleasant of land, especially for hunters like you. You must prove to me how brave and strong you are, and especially your logic and emotion control’ said Drentor, grinning as he spoke. ‘Erm, how are we supposed to prove that on an empty piece of land?’ asked Rollinter, worryingly. ‘The answer is simple’ replied Drentor, and then he jumped off Alomorn. ‘Arise, Alomorn, dinner awaits you’ commanded Drentor, smirking. Jamie and Rollinter looked startled, and quickly got ready. ‘You must be jok-WOAH!’

Lightening had hit the ground tremendously hard, only a couple of yards away from Jamie, Rollinter, Drentor and Alomorn. BANG! More lightening kept on crashing upon the ground, everyone kept dodging, and Alomorn roared and tried to shoot fire at the cloud. Drentor looked at the sky, and could only just make out two figures, one very dark, and his cloak was gliding, and the other, big and red. Drentor looked fierce.
‘Death…you are going to regret this’

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--Chapter Five--

BANG! Drentor had broken the curse that immobilised Death and the Demon. ‘Sweet revenge’ growled Drentor. ‘Ah, my good old friend Drentor, we meet again. Have you been taking care of your dragons lately, because it’s about to be a waste of time.’ Said Death, whilst smirking. Drentor looked as if he was about to explode, steam came out of his ears. He chanted some strange curses, and the embedded writing on his jewellery, had lit up, and started spinning. At the same time, Alomorns fierce eyes had lit up too, a swirl of orange and red began to spin. The enormous scaly wings, had started to rise, the dragon roared immensely loud. ‘Alomorn, eliminate the Entorium Demon!’

Alomorn blasted up in the air, and immediately flew straight at the Demon. ‘You know what to do, Demon’ said Death, calmly. The Demon nodded, and clenched his fists together, and warmed up. Fire started to cover the Demon, and flew into his ball of fists, and the Demon opened his hands out. Spinning balls of fire were in both of the Demons hand. Just as Alomorn was about to crash into the Demon, he blew the fire out of his hand, and hit Alomorn right on the chest, sending him crashing downwards. Death laughed sneakily. ‘Fool, your dragon is nothing against my Entorium Demon’

Drentor looked furious. ‘Fine then, we shall have to face eachother, to decide who’s strongest’ yelled Drentor. Death grinned, and flew at Drentor, his arms spread out, whilst Drentor muttered some strange curses. Once again, the embedded writing on Drentors jewellery had lit up. Death was inches away from Drentor, when all of a sudden; a bubble of light shot out of Drentors hand, and wrapped itself around Death.
‘Death, you underestimate my ancient power. I know your weaknesses’ said Drentor, who was smirking. Death clapped his hands. ‘Clever little soul, aren’t you? Pity that your soul isn’t in the Box…’ muttered Death, quietly. ‘Is that all you care about? The stupid wooden Box, just so you can have emotions and powerful souls. You only care about yourself, that’s one of your weaknesses. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some work t-AAAAAH!’

Drentor had been hit squarely in the chest, by a streak of green light. ‘I don’t think your going ANYWHERE’ said a voice coming from the bushes. Drentor struggled to get up, he carefully checked that his glasses were ok, and slotted them back onto his eyes. He could see a clearly, 2 figures trotting towards him. ‘You wretched fools, think you can stop me?’ growled Drentor. Jamie and Rollinter were looking fiercer than ever, and had come face to face with Drentor. ‘It’s not only Death that underestimates people, I think you are forgetting about yourself as well’ said Jamie, focusing on Drentor. Rollinter quietly muttered elf curses, and in the blink of an eye, Drentors jewellery flew straight to Rollinters scaly hands. ‘Why you wretched elf, GIVE IT TO ME NOW!’ screamed Drentor, who’s face had become scarlet. ‘I don’t think so, now if you please excuse US, while we have a little chat with De-WOAH!’

Alomorn had struck the ground, sending Jamie, Rollinter and Drentor flying. Death grinned. ‘Come on Alomorn, breathe that magical fire out…’ muttered Death. Jamie quickly went to grab his staff, but Drentor stood on it, and it broke in half. Jamie stared at the staff, rooted to the spot. ‘M-my S-staff…’ trembled Jamie. Drentor chuckled. ‘You thought you could stop me, well now you shall pay your price’ Drentor pointed at Alomorn. Rollinter was dodging the fire and shooting green lights at Alomorn, but it caused no effect. Alomorn was an inch away from the bubble Death was trapped in, he took one deep breath and spat fireballs everywhere. Death quickly held his hand out, and summoned all the fireballs to him. WHACK!

The fireballs collided with the bubble, and got extinguished. The bubble tore apart into silver dust. ‘Do not underestimate my logic, Drentor’ commanded Death. Meanwhile, Jamie, Rollinter and Drentor looked awestruck. Death pushed at his hand, and sent lightening zooming away at Alomorn, and covered him. Alomorn roared painfully, and twitched around, until the swirl of red and orange, had faded away from his crystal eyes. THUD! Alomorn hit the ground, his wings were sprawled out, and no longer moved. ‘N-no…He can’t be g-gone…I’m n-nothing, MY JEWELLERY!’ screamed Drentor. Lying in front of him, was his jewellery, but it was in pieces, the embedded writing no longer lit up, it was worthless now.

Jamie and Rollinter didn’t know what to do or say. Inside Jamie, there was some pity for Drentor, but he dared not show it. ‘Alas, Demon, we must move on! I do not need any rest, I am full with energy, from the bubbles magic’ commanded Death, emotionless. The Demon nodded, and started to rise up to the clouds with Death. ‘WAIT!’ yelled Jamie, his heart pumping fast. Death stopped, and turned around. ‘What is it now, wizard, or should I say powerless human’ Death sneered. ‘STOP WITH THE CHEEKINESS!’ Jamie was furious, out of control. ‘WE READ THAT MAP OF YOURS, DEATH! YES, THE CITY OF REALMS! WE KNOW WHAT YOU’RE AFTER! WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS WHAT IS INSIDE THAT BOX!’ Jamie yelled. ‘You’re an impatient little human, aren’t you? For your information, the Box is worthless to you, therefore, for your own safety, I am warning you not to find out any more information about it, and certainly not try to find it. I shall say no more’
And Death swiftly glided away, next to the Demon who was looking determined.

Jamie and Rollinter were left on the empty, lifeless land, watching their last hope fly away…

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--Chapter Six--

WHAM! Jamie punched the ground, he was furious, the anger boiled up inside him. ‘My staff, broken! Our last hope, gone!’ trembled Jamie, wiping the hot tears away from his red eyes. Rollinter tried to cheer him up by doing some elf magic tricks, but after a while he could see that Jamie didn’t feel any better. After all, his magical staff had broken. But Jamie wasn’t the only one who was heartbroken. ‘I’m useless, there’s n-no pointing in l-living now, my whole career…vanished!’ trembled Drentor, staring up at the dark sky, with his glasses.

Rollinters eyes suddenly lit up, as if a light bulb had appeared over his head. ‘You know, I could use my elf magic to fix your jewellery, and Jamie, I’m not sure if I can fix your staff, we might need to go to Grentoria to see if it’s possible, but that’s miles away from here…’ muttered Rollinter. Rollinter could tell that what he said, just made Jamie feel worse, but Drentors heart seemed to have risen again. ‘You really w-would do that for m-me?’ asked Drentor, eager. ‘Well, you may have tried to kill us, but I think kindness does the trick, rather than revenge. But only on one condition, you help us find the box. If we succeed, I might even let you live in Grentoria!’ answered Rollinter, confidently.

THUD! Drentor fell to the floor, on his knees at Rollinters feet. ‘M-majesty, of course! It’s the least I could do for such a brave young creature like you!’ trembled Drentor, filled with excitement. Rollinter felt that him and Jamie had another hope, but there was one slight problem. Drentor had broken Jamie’s staff, which seemed to create a grudge between them. Jamie looked emotionless, but Rollinter was sure he was thinking hard. ‘All right Drentor, because you have broken my staff, whatever you do shall be under my commands’ Jamie looked determined, and fierce. Drentor seemed to have been slightly shocked, but nodded.

‘Right, how the hell are we going to get out of here?’ asked Rollinter. ‘Ah, I shall lead you out of here, seeing as I have lived here for over 50 years, and know this place very well, plus I have studied the City of Realms, so follow me’ said Drentor, calmly.
He trotted away from the camp. Carefully watching out for sharp sticking out plants. Jamie and Rollinter nodded to eachother and followed Drentor. It was a peaceful walk, obviously because there was no life around. Jamie and Rollinter were trotting behind Drentor, struggling to catch him up. They were surprised at how fast he could move at his age. The walk seemed forever, every now and then, Jamie had to take of his boots and empty the stones out. Rollinter didn’t need to, because his scaly green tough feet were enough to protect him from the gravel and sharp stones.

Slowly, the dark green fields were disappearing, along with the camps. They were now walking in the middle of nowhere, where they could only see dead trees out of the fog. ‘Are you sure you know where you’re going?’ asked Jamie, worryingly. ‘Of course I am, like I said, I have studied the City, and I have been there a lot of times’ replied Drentor, confidently. The fog was fading away, and the sun glittered on the rocks and puddles. Small dark blocks and other shapes were slowly coming into view; they could now hear birds twittering. After about 5 minutes later, they were walking on a pavement, with strange symbols that glowed every time a foot touched it.

Until, finally, they were standing right outside the humongous dark shiny gates, in-between 2 statues of some sort of bird creature, that were closed. The lights on the pavements had reached the gate, and a voice spoke. ‘And who may you be, explorers?’

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--Chapter Seven--

‘Aha, the City awaits here’ said Death, calmly. Death and the Demon had arrived at the City of Realms, and had flown over the gates, at the other end. It was very foggy, the wind was howling, the trees were rustling, empty packets of crisps flown past, it was nearly as lifeless as Drentors camp was. They walked slowly, in-between dozens of buildings that had corroded. The Demons footstep echoed throughout the city, and to Deaths annoyance, they were no signs. He had no idea of where the cemetery was. ‘We shall search for life, maybe they will know where the cemetery is’ murmured Death.

They walked in any random buildings, but no life was found. But as they approached north, they could hear faint noises. They flew quickly, and the noises grew louder and louder, it sounded like living beings talking. They had reached a enormous building, it looked like a casino. Lights glittered everywhere, cheesy cartoon noises came from inside. A big stand of flashing letters read: The Gamble of Life
Death and the Demon slowly walked in, looking around curiously. Hundreds of humans were chatting, drinking, eating and playing these strange machines where coins flew out. No matter how quiet Death and the Demon were, it made no difference. The music stopped playing, everyone froze, and plates and cups were put back on a table.

‘Fear not humans, this is just a spirit, along with a Demon’ muttered the barmaid. ‘Just a spirit? Looks like we shall be having a pleasant time together. I am Death, the most powerful emperor ever, of the ancient City of Evil. This is my guidance, an Entorium Demon’ replied Death, calmly. The room was still frozen, the barmaid looked overwhelmed. ‘Oh…sorry your gracious lord, I did not know-’ muttered the barmaid, but stopped in-between, catching the glare of Death’s fiery red eyes. ‘Save your breath, human. Now tell me, where is the cemetery?’ asked Death, politely, but also bitterly. Not a sound was made, but the look of shock and terror filled the humans faces. ‘M-my lord, t-the cemetery has been forbidden to trespass, since the eclipse had happened’ stuttered the barmaid. ‘What eclipse?’ asked Death, quickly, getting more impatient. ‘It had happened just over only 10 years ago, the moon had covered the Sun, but rays of light came from nowhere. They had struck the cemetery so hard, that the ground started to break. Spirits of the graves had woken up, and cursed anyone who trespassed, but there is a rumour of how to get in the cemetery, without these spirits cursing you’ replied the barmaid. ‘And what rumour should that be?’ asked Death, tapping his foot impatiently.

‘The rays of light aren’t any ordinary rays of light, they contain magic in them. It happens so, that a pattern of them still remains, today, at the cemetery. People say, that if you follow the pattern, it turns into a path. Now here’s the exciting bit. Apparently, there’s a box at the end, but no ordinary box. It contains emotions, powerful souls. But this is all just a rumour of course’ the barmaid quickly added, hastily. Death looked interested. ‘Interesting…but I do not fear anything. Now tell me where the cemetery is, and I shall bravely dwell there, seeking the box’ answered Death, both him and the Demon were grinning. ‘Rumour? Not just a rumour. This is the truth, my senses tell me. But something doesn’t seem quite right…’ Death thought.

--Chapter Eight--

The bird creature spoke. Its voice was chilling, and ghoulish. ‘W-we are hunters, sir. I am Jamie, a pure wizard, and this is my friend, Rolly, the ruler of Grentoria’ said Jamie, shaking mad. ‘And what is it that you are seeking, young hunters?’ asked the bird, calm yet fearsome. ‘We are looking for this box, called Spiritual Box, do you know anything about it?’ asked Jamie, still nervous. ‘Ah…the sacred one, it hasn’t been seen for years, but there is a rumour, that it lies in the cemetery, where rays of light are. Creatures rumour that the rays of lights make a path, which you must follow. But no one is a hundred percent certain of this, of course. However, there may be dark creatures awaiting, even spirits, that could curse you if you trespass their territory. Yet again, it’s just a rumour’ added the bird, quickly.

‘Do you think you could lead us to this cemetery?’ asked Rollinter, gulping. ‘I am afraid that I cannot, however, I shall let you enter the City, but you must find the cemetery yourself’ replied the bird. The eyes of the bird statue had blanked out, and it was no longer alive, but the gates creaked open. Jamie and Rollinter quickly entered, and the gates immediately shut behind them. ‘My my, this is strange’ muttered Rollinter. ‘Rolly, maybe everybody is asleep or something, I am starting to feel a bit tired myself you know’ replied Jamie, stretching out his arms. ‘Jamie! This is not the best time to be taking a nap! We have come this far, and will continue, before anything stops us!’ shouted Rolly, turning dark green, as all the elves do when they get impatient. ‘Fine, but we are sticking together. I’m not splitting up here, it makes the hair on the back of my neck stick up’ answered Jamie.

The two hunters carefully walked among the City, gazing at the dark, ruined buildings, and wrecked leaves were swirling around in the wind. They were walking on forever, going in any random direction, but then, they heard a noise. It sounded like two creatures were arguing. And that was when Jamie clicked his fingers. ‘Rolly, I swear those are the voices of Death and his demon friend!’ Jamie whispered, eagerly. Rollinter listened with his brilliant sharp ears, and his eyes widened. ‘You’re right, do you think they are going to find the box?’ replied Rollinter. ‘Well, I am super sure that they are, because of that map he made of the City of Realms and the Box. I think we should follow them’ said Jamie, jumping on the spot. ‘Are you mad? They’re bound to know we’re following them’ replied Rolly, letting Jamie’s hopes go down. ‘You two seem to have a lot of courage, even though I warned you not to found it. Now you must pay’ Rollinter and Jamie spun around, and their hearts stopped beating.

It was Death and the Entorium Demon, both were grinning and rubbing their hands together as if they were about to eat dinner. ‘U-um, we’re not looking for anything. We’re just wondering around, exploring this world, aren’t we, Rolly?’ quickly replied Jamie, nudging Rollinter. ‘Huh-oh yeah, we’re starving, this City is our last hope of getting some food’ Rollinter thought up. ‘Feeble excuses, you silly younglings, now go, get out of this city, you are no match of it’ replied Death, getting impatient. The demon cracked his fists together. ‘GO! Before we demolish you’ yelled Death, very impatient. Jamie began to walk backwards, and sprinted away. But Rollinter was rooted to the spot. ‘Make me, you hooded cow!’ yelled Rollinter, extremely angry. ‘Very well, you simply asked for it’ Death shot lightening at Rollinter, but it simply was absorbed into Rollinters hands. He opened his hands, at the lightening struck back at Death, sending him crashing into a building. ‘JAMIE! GO TO THE CEMETERY, I’LL HOLD OFF THESE GUYS!’ screamed Rollinter, watching out for the Demon. ‘But I don’t want to spli-’ began Jamie. ‘JUST GO!’ screamed Rollinter, protecting himself from the Demon.

Jamie trembled, but sprinted away as fast as he could. ‘I don’t think you’re going anywhere, human!’ Death had flown back out of the building, and used the force to pull Jamie towards him. ‘If I drop you right now, you’ll meet your death’ Death grinned, he was grabbing Jamie by the neck in mid air. ‘I don’t think so’ replied Jamie, and somehow got free, and hovered towards a building. ‘Foolish human, you can hover, but you can’t fly. Good luck on getting down’ with that said, Death flown away, to the cemetery as Jamie thought he would. Jamie was brought up purely for magic, and was trained to get out of these kinds of situations. He shot some stringy, but light substance out of his hand, and it hit the ground like an anchor. He jumped up onto the substance, and slid down.

While Rollinter was dodging the Demons fire, Jamie sprinted at Deaths directions, and turned around the corner. There it was, graves hung everywhere. Owls hooted, broken tree stumps remained. He saw Death fly into the cemetery, but lost sight of him, when Death flew in-between the rays of light. Jamie sprinted towards the cemetery, and crossed his fingers. He was a few centimetres away from the fence out the cemetery. Jamie looked back at Rollinter, bid farewell, and jumped into the rays of light, vanishing aswell.

--Chapter Nine--

THUD! The Demon hit the ground, Rollinter took his life away using the Demons own magic fire, and reflecting it at the Demon. Rollinter checked the Demon was not alive, by prodding him. The Demon didn’t move, his blank eyes stared into space.

The air swirled, Jamie felt his stomach lurching, and he was falling. He looked down, it was just white, nothing but white. He softly landed on what seemed like a bed. It was absolutely white; he could not feel any wind, nothing at all. He didn’t feel hot, warm, cold, absolutely nothing. Jamie’s eyes became watery. ‘Hello? Anyone there? Where am I?’ his empty voice echoed. He feared that he landed in heaven; he feared that he was already dead. All he remembered was jumping into a bunch of light rays.
‘You foolish human’ Jamie spun around, Death was hovering, his fierce eyes staring at Jamie. ‘U-um, I’ll go, if you tell me where I am and how to get out’ answered Jamie, scared. ‘Why should I? I’ve let you off on numerous occasions, and you have crossed the line now’ said Death, bitterly.

Death was about to strike, when someone landed right in front of him. ‘What the? JAMIE!’ yelled Rollinter. ‘ROLLY, WATCH OUT!’ screamed Jamie. Death grinned, and quickly threw Rollinter at Jamie with the force. Rollinter slowly got up, holding his knee. ‘Att-ttack me all y-you want, but y-your Demon friend isn’t going to come. Y-yes that’s right, I killed him, I took his life’ said Rollinter, who had turned scarlet. Death simply stared Rollinter. ‘An elf, killing a Demon…I don’t care how superior you are, but it is time you met your death’ spoke Death, quietly. Death shot thunder at Rollinter, sending him flying away, unconscious. ‘ROLLY!!!!!’ screamed Jamie. He couldn’t believe his eyes. ‘Now it’s your turn, human’ suddenly, Jamie leaped at Death chanting curses, and Death was blasted up into the air. ‘YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!! I’M GOING TO TORTURE YOU AS MUCH AS I CAN, UNTIL YOUR SOUL SPLITS APART!’ screamed Jamie, who had turned red. His body suddenly glowed white, and his eyes turned pale red. But there was no sight of Death. Jamie thought about the cemetery, and in the blink of an eye, the whole white nothingness turned into a cemetery.

Jamie couldn’t believe his eyes. Ghosts were appearing, but they were not any normal ghosts. And that was when Jamie broke into tears. The ghost of Rollinter appeared, and stared at Jamie, hovering lifelessly. ‘Jamie, he took my soul, he took my life, and now he’s going to take yours’ whispered Rollinter. ‘N-no, this is a nightmare! NONE OF THIS IS REAL! WAKE ME UP!’ screamed Jamie, out of control, and collapsed onto his knees. ‘I said you’d pay the price, and the loss of your poor friend shows why you should not interfere with my business. Jamie, if I am correct. Go home, and I shan’t touch you, but try to find the Box, you’ll wish you were never born, understand?’ said Death, calmly and somehow soothingly.

Jamie looked up; hot tears were running down his cheeks. ‘Give my friend his life back, and I’ll leave you alone forever and ever’ trembled Jamie. ‘Like I said, his loss repaid me of you trying to get my treasure. Now go, before I take your life and soul aswell’ simply said Death. ‘Jamie, don’t give in! You’re near the treasure! Follow the lights!’ yelled Rollinter. In the blink of an eye, Jamie sprinted, and shot spells at Death, keeping him away. ‘Keep running no matter what. He took your friends life away; don’t run like a chicken, get revenge! No, if you get the Box, you can use it to get back all the souls Death had captured, and Rolly will come back to life!’ 2 sides of Jamie were telling him what to do.

Jamie thought carefully, and made up his mind. He carried on following the path of lights, and there it was. The Spiritual Box, but it looked like any ordinary Box. It was wooden, with a handle, and nothing was protecting it. ‘There’s got to be some catch to this’ thought Jamie. He slowly walked towards the Box, each footstep set off his nerves. He was sweating mad, but carried on. ‘STOP RIGHT THERE!’ WHAM! Jamie was sent flying away, but to the Box. Death was there, but furious. His spell had sent Jamie to the Box, by accident. But then Death grinned. ‘Open it, your friend will come back to life and I’ll lose my soul. What more could you want? Open it’ Death said, bittersweet.

Jamie was worried. Was this all a trick? What would happen if I tried to open it? ‘JAMIE! DON’T OPEN IT!’ Jamie couldn’t believe his eyes. It was Drentor. Jamie had forgotten all about him, he must have gone somewhere else when they reached the gate. ‘Why shouldn’t I open it?’ asked Jamie, curiously. ‘YOUR SOUL WILL BE RI-AAAAH’ Death had sent lightening at Drentor. ‘Well well, we meet again. Why the long face? Has all of your precious jewellery gone?’ asked Death, sarcastically. Jamie fell back, but accidentally touched the Box.

Everything dissolved into thin air. He was looking at his dark memories. Parentless, Rollinter dead, his staff gone, was there any point in living anymore? Jamie wondered if he should just take his own life away, and end the pain. ‘JAMIE! DON’T LISTEN TO YOUR MIND! THE BOX IS PLAYING WITH YOUR MIND! IT’S MAKING YOU PARANOID!’ screamed Drentor. Jamie looked confused, but cracked his knuckles. ‘You pathetic Box, do not underestimate my power’ Jamie said in his mind. It seemed to have worked, he felt better and less paranoid. ‘Ha, you can’t open it. Only I can’ sneered Death. ‘Aha, I have one remaining power, which I haven’t told anyone about’ Drentor grinned, and instantly sprinted to the Box, and with full force, pulled the Box open, chanting curses.

BANG! Light spread everywhere; voices, cries, laughter’s swam about. Jamie could hear Rollinters voice, which was crying. The light had disappeared, and all the voices went. ‘W-what just happened? W-where’s Death?’ asked Jamie, holding his head. He felt a pat on the back. ‘Everything’s ok mate’ Jamie couldn’t believe his eyes. Rollinter was standing right behind him, looking as clean as ever. ‘A-are you ok?’ trembled Jamie. ‘Me? I think I should be asking you if you’re ok’ grinned Rollinter.
They hugged eachother. ‘Don’t ever make me split up from you again’ said Jamie. Drentor got up. ‘That was strange’ said Drentor. He looked around, the three of them were standing in the cemetery, but there were no rays of light. ‘LOOK! THE SKY!’ yelled Jamie. The clouds were closing in; there was Death, a small black figure trapped in of what looked like some rays of light. ‘He’s going to hell, and he’ll never come back again’ whispered Drentor. Everyone was quiet. ‘What about the other ghosts? The other victims of Death?’ Rollinter broke the silence. ‘Ah, they’ll be teaching Death a lesson, up in hell’ grinned Drentor.

--Chapter Ten--

The cup was filled up to the brim, Jamie took a sip. ‘Wow Rolly, you sure are a natural at making the finest elf coffee’ chuckled Jamie. It was ten years later, Jamie and Rollinter looked very older, and much more calmer. Drentor looked the same as ever, but was much more happier. The three were rulers of Grentoria. Jamie made himself a new staff, much more powerful. Drentor had bred some dragons, and made some new jewellery. Rollinter was Grentoria’s warrior aswell as ruler.

They were resting at Jamie’s house, a small cotton house, in a beautiful green village, where flowers grew; the lake shimmered when the full moon was out. Rollinter was sitting in an armchair, cross-legged and reading a newspaper, The Grentorian Times. He was looking at the old section, where it would show events that happened a decade ago. He was looking at the picture with the younger him, Jamie and Drentor, arriving at Grentoria, holding the Spiritual Box and cheering. No one worried about Death anymore; most people just call him a legend.

‘What a life, eh? We’re all famous and that now’ grinned Drentor. ‘Nah, I think there’s more mysteries in this world, and we are destined the solve them’ said Jamie, chuckling. ‘Well what are you guys waiting for? Lets go and show the world who we are’ replied Rollinter, happily. The three rulers grabbed their bags, but not any weapons or armour. ‘Real warriors use their mind, not armour’ pointed out Rollinter. And with that said, they walked into the glowing sunlight, rearing to solve more mysterious, in the strange world they lived in.
