The Art Gallery is a place where Miniclip users can receive criticism on their works. Be warned though, that if what you made is really bad, or needs improvement, people will tell it directly to your face, and they may not be very nice about it. Here are some added guidelines or tips to keep in mind when you post your artwork:
If you are posting artwork here:
- Make sure you are ready to accept both good AND negative feedback. You WILL get both.
- Do not post something that you know is really not that great. This includes "oh i was bored so i made this in 5 mins" artwork.
- All artwork is welcome, but make sure it follows the rules, please. No porn or anything. Save that for somewhere else.
- You should maybe ask someone through MSN, AIM, etc. before posting it here, to see if it's alright. Could save yourself some negative comments.
If you are critiquing artwork here:
- If you're going to point out the bad, at least try and find SOMETHING good about the artwork.
- Do not be overly rude. You can give harsh criticism, but this is not an excuse to flame and be rude.
- Do not prejudge artwork of a specific genre and automatically say you hate it. This is the same thing as a zero-content post and really is a bannable offense.
- You should consider how hard it was to make when judging a piece of art.
-ACTUALLY CRITIQUE IT! Do not just give a rating. State what is wrong with it, what can be improved, etc. Give constructive criticism!
Overrating
I have seen people over-rate people's work before. Sure, I love getting my work rated good, but if you are rating someone's work using the out of ten method, or something similar, remember that 5 is average, 10 is amazing, and 1 is pretty much a blank image. I see people rating work about 7/10 and saying that it's average.
