We created this for all of you out there who enjoy writing stories, poetry, songs, articles, whatever it is you do with words you can work your magic here for all to see. We felt that posting this type of nearly lost art just doesn't hold well in the Gallery because everyone there likes to tote off their GIMP signatures or whatever and argue who can do a better job making Carmen Electra's boobs stand out or be bigger. I have no idea what goes on in there, really; it's obvious, however this forum is for words that's 100% certain.

Of course, no forum is complete without some guidelines. There aren't many here.
1. All regular forum rules apply to this forum.
2. Don't post random short quips unless you're posting short poetry. Five sentences =/= a story. Make sure you're putting some real work in your projects here.
3. Do NOT steal other people's work and call it your own. If you are caught doing so you will be banned. No infractions, no exceptions.
4. If you are making installments or chapters for something HUGE please talk to a Moderator about posting them separately, otherwise please keep them all in one thread and edit your first post with "news/updates" and a link to the post containing the new installment.
5. If you are posting a very long story and you hit the 30,000 character maximum limit (yes we have one) then you are allowed to double/triple post.
6. Please try to choose a descriptive title, such as something like "A Rainy Day (Poetry)" or "Jimmy Saves Kittens From A Fire (Story)".
7. Keep the profanity to a minimum. No cursing, but words like hell or crap are acceptable.

A note regarding COMICS:
Do they belong in here or the Gallery? That is up to you to decide. If your comic is really heavy on words then it should probably belong in here, but if it's just something short and silly like Peanuts that is mostly just pictures then it should go in the gallery. Either way comics or all kinds are allowed in here as well.

We'll be moving some story threads into here for the next few days so keep an eye out for us and we hope you enjoy the forum.

That made me rofl. ;P

Anyway, thanks a lot. This is nice. :] As for the whole 'moving stories over to this forum' thing, I can link all my stories back to this thread if you could use the help.

This was really cool of you, RFS. I can barely write, but still, very cool.

Can all of the stories that have to do with CP, or include the words "Vital Viper" be moved the heck out of here?

Hi pples. I'm just wondering, can I start my own story contest or do I have to ask Poetic or someone?

It would be nice if you asked me, LinZ, or Pitty first...Just so we can check it over.

Can I post a story later today? I just thought that only a select few get to post stories.

Anyone can post a story you don't have to have permission.

Post your idea here (prizes, theme, rules), and I'll look it over.

Post your idea here (prizes, theme, rules), and I'll look it over.

Ok then, Here goes. NOTE: this is a bullet point idea plan, not full on contest yet.

Theme: Legends, Space Aliens, Action

Prizes: Winner gets: 100 points, and maybe the hall of fame, I guess that's up to you guys.

2nd place:50 points

3rd place: 10 points

Rules: NO GLOATING! You win, ok, that's good, just don't rub it into other peoples faces.
Any stories not following the theme WILL NOT be acceptted, obviously.
Ideas can be taken from other stories, provided that the writer gives you permission.
Ideas can be from long storys and full on books, such as Harry Potter books.
Try to get your spelling right.
Only 5 entries will be accepted, so if you don't in but get on the poll, your story was still good.
There's no word limit, so let your imaginations come up with everything!

P.S. Who is gonna judge, and can I enter my story?

Since you're perma-banned, I guess that's a no.
