View Full Version : My Missing Cat

Recently, George (my cat), the little . . ., decided to run away. And on the worst day imaginable – Christmas day. We didn’t know. We just sat in the living room watching ‘Silent Hill’, a film which my sister got as a present. My mum heard something outside but thought it was rain. This was wrong.
On Boxing day, we woke up to find he wasn’t around. We searched everywhere in the house, but could not find him. Then we looked outside. Later on, we found paw prints on the patio doors. We knew he must be missing. Sad! :’( So, we looked and put posters everywhere!
Three weeks later, a woman, down the road, said she spotted a cat with the same description as George. Turned out, it was him! We took him to the vets and had him checked out. He lost some weight and could have had liver problems.
Since then, he’s gained some of the weight and has no liver problems. He is okay now and in future, we will keep an eye on him!
This is basically the story. If you look at my avatar, there's a picture of him. Or at least I think. I have another cat who was really un easy with him when we got him back. She hissed at him!! She's okay with him now.
I don't know why I've posted this, I just thought you'd all like to know. Which I am thinking you didn't.

Mind if I sharpen your eyes on him. ;)
But seriously hope he doesn't escape again.

We're always checking where he is now.

Don't take this wrong way, because I honestly don't know how true it is, but I heard "Its the animals that run away, that do not like their home." After I heard that, it made me think - does my cat and three dogs really enjoy their home- and then we decided to take them for a walk more and pay more attention to them (We always have, but just more).
So yeah...

I've heard that. Thought it. I don't know. I hope not. We're really friendly to him, and do verything we think is right.

Ty.
I'm sorry about your dog. It sounds like you really loved him.
But I don't get what you mean. Another family got him then lost him??

Not with my dogs. They LOVE the outdoors so they take off some off the times but they always come back. And one of my dogs could never live without us. :P

I have a question: is your other cat an old, orange/white tabby that has a cut under his chin? We had a cat like that, and he went missing. He either
A.) Died of age (20 human years old).
B.) Got chased by our neighbors idiotic dog.
C.) Has a memory disease and lost his way (of old age).
Yes, out cat was 20. He has been with me since BIRTH and I love him. But, to my relief, shortly after he (Tom) disappeared, there was a stray orange/white retriever dog that my dad's friend gave to us. I love that new puppy! (Got him in October '06).
Fun Fact(s):
I was a smarty-pants to my teacher the day after we lost my cat and made her mad!
Cat's name was (is) Tom.
