Anyone ever played Yoshi's Island for the Super Ninendo? It is my favourite game for the "SNES". It's very fun to play, also really addicting.

What I liked the most about it was the point system that made you go back and do levels to either find all of the secrets or to get all of the items (and most of the time never getting hit either, since you lose Stars).
If I remember right it had a pretty awesome soundtrack to go with it, and every time you beat a boss it would add another instrument to the overworld theme.

The first couple levels have 100 on mine. Beating the game was hard enough. Much less getting a perfect score on them all. What I really liked was everytime you got hit the baby would fly away in a bubble. Boy! That was fun catching him.

If you hit him with an egg he nosedives and makes it easier to catch him. I believe on my SNES version I have a perfect 100 on every level, but I never got that far on the GBA version.

:o That's crazy. I also like how if you keep tapping the jump button you'll stay up in the air for a couple seconds. Also if I remember correctly on two different occasions you can go down a tunnel and see a dog like creature. I called him Spike.:)

I have played Yoshi's Story many years ago as a younger child.

The dog's name is pooch, and you only need to hold the button (well for gba...maybe)
I liked fighting the prince froggy boss battle, one of the most original ideas of the time

There's Yoshi's Story. That game is pretty fun. Though it's nothing compared to Yoshi's Island.

Yoshi's island is, in my opinion, the greatest side scroller of all time. So original, so much fun to play. There's also a sequel on DS but it's not as good.

Best Mario game ever. ^__^
And I loved the Graphics style. Too bad the new one on DS sucks.
