My thoughts on Dating in Club Penguin

I've been wanting to make a thread about this for a long time. When I first joined Club Penguin, things were great. Rockhopper was new, people were flying in Jetpacks, and most importantly, making new friends. However, people were dating also which back in 2006 wasn't an issue.

1. Asking

Then people started saying things like "123 for a Guy/Girl like me!" or "789 to be mine." Eventually it meant getting rid of numbers as CP knew that there was also people who were young in CP to like 8 or 9 year olds. I know that dating isn't bad if you like dating, but for once I would like to go on CP without being asked my gender.

2. The Pizza Place

Next the Pizza Place. Before it was a place where you could either be an owner of or you could go there to get a job, or to just sit down after a rough day. Now it's become a place where you can't go without being asked to date. It's very annoying! One time I went on my free account to try to go there and stop dating and if someone asked, I would say "no." But it ended up with me reporting the girl who asked me because she and her friend were being rude or mean. Sometimes I'm in the mood, but other times I just want to go online without dating for a change, because I usually go to CP to hang out with friends.
3. Benefits

Dating is not all that bad, except when your not in the mood. Sometimes I do date and it usually can turn out with me meeting new people and having a good time. One time, 2 girls were fighting over me (another reason why dating may be bad for girls). You can get a new buddy on your buddy list, play games, visit each others igloo, etc.

4. My thoughts in a nutshell.

It's causing tons of drama, annoying questions asked, sometimes things learned by younger members (and nonmembers) that can be slightly more bad than good, and so much trouble in CP and banning(banning members damages Club Penguin business). But despite that, I think that Club Penguin dating should stay as taking away drama in CP will take away the flavor of Club Penguin. But if worse things happen (such as people saying new things like "ABC for a Guy/Girl like me") They could make all the servers Ultimate Safe Chat :O, but that is the worst case scenario :). Overall, some dating should stay, but I hate it if I don't want to.

Mods, can you please close this thread as it is causing more trouble then good, and i've gotten my message across.

OMG ENOUGH these threads are getting sooo old! there should be a rule against cp dating threads :mad: the 123 thing has been going since i joined in feb2006

Ya you're right. These threads are pointless and they go no where. This is just like those Mammoth and Non-Member clothing threads. Seriously if you have the idea of posting these threads, don't even think of creating one. You'll just be wasting your time.

Enough of these stupid pointless threads, who cares if people date on cp, just report and ignore... It's all you have to do, who cares if you like dating on cp, NO ONE CARES! There really should be a rule about these threads...:mad: Every day I literally see 5 threads a day and thats a minimum, it's annoying enough having people saying 123 for a guy/girl like me... But this is just adding on... Like seriously, do we care???? I sure don't!:mad: Also it's been like this since like May 2006 or even earlier, I joined in May, didn't see much of a problem. But who cares...

I will state this nicely- Thanks for stating your opinions on Club Penguin Dating, they were very organized and interesting...although...this has been posted numerous times so please search before you post. And yes, i do agree CP dating has gone to an extreme. :|
