I used to play Club Penguin a looong time ago. It was a fun game but like all fun games, it got boring after almost a year and a half. One day I decided to come back on and see what was new. There were some pretty cool things like the hair catalogue and how the sports shop actually sells sports stuff instead of clothes. But i quickly discovered the Disney logo on the homepage of CP. I instantly left clubpenguin.com. I was kinda angry that New Horizon joined up with them because I thought they did fine as an individual business. Now there's commercials and stuff all over Disney channel and it just makes this game look really babyish. I know that Disney gives them more money, but I personally thought they were doing fine without em. There's a strict line in the world of online gameplay that separates fun and games from fun, games, and Mickey Mouse T-Shirt offers! They're crossing that line by a huge long shot. I know there's nothin i can do about it, but does anyone else kinda feel what I'm feeling?:confused:

well, point is. CP no longer interests me anyway. It was kiddish enough but in a cute way. now its Disney kiddish and thats just low. But i;ve moved on to xbox live ages ago. Yeah, CP sucks now that they now are partners with a company that can exponetially increase both their profits and overal gameplay and will make the game that most of us have come here for work more efficiently and to continue being a great childrens game.

I didn't like the fact that CP sold out to Disney, because the owner of Disney, who is also the owner of pixar is a jerk who only cares about money and not the kids of our future.He only cares about how he looks, which is basically why he discontinued selling little disney toys at McDonalds becasue that Super Size me video made McDonalds look bad. Also really they weren't allowed to make a video advertising cp, so they basically broke there contract with cp, but they either did that illegaly or they either made the commercial to brodcast the coins for change thing with CP's permission. So basically they found a little loophole in the contract to advertise cp.

Hold on...if they got 700 million dollars, then why on Earth are they making a big deal out of this coins for change thing!?! They're only gonna donate 1 million dollars anyway, which i think is kinda sad cause they have 700 million!!! i don't see how even 100 million could not support the company enough so why only donate 1 mil. they're using us to help decide which category to donate more in. why not a million to each. a little bit more generous sheesh. i mean, if i had 700 million dollars and a business, i would easily give 3 million to cancer and sickness and all that stuff for kids. its no skin off my shoulder. i just dont get the coins for change. This game probably has another good year or two before it either A) Vast majority of the players get bored whcih is something ive already noticed. or B) They run out of material for the game and it still gets boring. I've seen the same trash they used like 2 years ago for xmas come back. gimme a break. u have 700 mil, lets open up our wallets a bit. well at this point i dont care. i think CP just doesnt compare with the tech we have today. online wii, xbox live, even playstation is going online. exactly. I'm not saying in anyway this is on CP's fault. I'm mad at the disney half of it. When u think about it, it is a great children's game but disney just doesnt fit.

i cant find a video link of it, but i know i saw one. They're like, "Club Penguin is a great game to meet friends, play games, and have fun with other Disney.com members." I'm sorry, but disney.com members? Are they for real? Well search it in google, it might come up.

Actually I have seen teh little advertising video on there site. It's in disneychannel.com under games, and if you scroll down in the videos they have in the section you will see the little cp video, that was also on a commercial, and there should be a link somewhere on the site next to it, and then you go to thet cp homepage.

There was a commercial on Disney about the Coins for change on Disney 365.

But you say CP has changed because of disney. NOTHING has changed. The gameplay hasnt changed, nothing did.

I am wondering something. Is cp still making the stuff? Or is Disney? Because I do hope cp is still making the stuff, because if they are, then that means there just using them for money and getting more members. But if it is Disney that deals with the products, then they are the reason that so many items are coming back.

CP is still making the stuff. Disney is only making it so other coutries can play it. (different languages) Anyways, that's what I heard. I'm not completely sure.

Disney helps cp with ideas and the game, BUT on Club Penguin Staff decides on things. Disney doesn't make things official, they just help. If CP agrees, they will do it, if they don't, they won't. Disney has no control over CP. It just helps cp staff with ideas

They only recieved $350 million. If they recieve their goal of paid memberships by 2009, then Disney will give CP another whoping $350 million.:rolleyes:

Anyways, just because a game was on of the most popular TV Networks, does not really make it more babyish. The game has not really changed, but the players have.
