This strikes me odd, but why does everyone on Earth use WordPress hosting for Club Penguin blogging? Why can't they use CuteNews hosting or Blogger hosting or something? Everyone uses WordPress hosting.

Not everyone uses Wordpress for blogging. But, the majority use it because it is one of the easiest to navigate. And, it is most popular and the people who made the first one kept reccomending it. End of story.

It's actually slow, crappy, heavy, and most of the time hard to customize and use.

I have downloaded and put the real software on my website, and it's even slower, it fills up your MySQL database and it takes up a lot of space and bandwidth.

Wordpress is usually pretty fast for me, but it is lagging a lot since they've been updating. I have personally never heard of CuteNews, but wait until you get a whiff of this. (http://clubpenguinriot.webs.com)

Just as a social observer, I don't see a lot of individuality in this forum in some instances. This is one of them. A lot of users all use the same services to blog (Wordpress), chat (Bribble), and make websites (Piczo). It's just a matter of that repeating itself, regardless of how bad those services are.

For me wordpress have normal speed, easy to use for starter in blogs (me). So I have wordpress too.

dude seriously, these people that make these wordpress blogs, don't really know the big coding and stuff to make a website, they're like 10 - 14 years old.

For me, I know how to code, but i'm not a computer freak and I don't feel like wasting all of that time coding for club penguin, I just do a wordpress because everyone has one and it's easier to communicate and stuff.

I like wordpress it is very fast for me and accesible. I even did a school report on it and I got top marks (well, not really because of the site)! It is very good and most people know other people use it so they could see if they have a site like, mrpenguin.wordpress.....blah blah blah and see if it's any good.

Well, actually, it doesn't take coding to create a website and slap the WordPress software on it, just a website host and a [huge] MySQL database.

And second, RFS, you're right, there are a lot of WPs, Bribbles, and Piczos out there, and everyone who says it's fast, reality is it is not. It's huge and heavy, and the customizable features go off the deep end sometimes because there's a couple where you can't find a single thing. It wastes a lot of bandwidth for just a single post/page if using the website version, and it takes thousands of dollars for them if using the WP . com host to keep the databases and servers running, because these things are way too heavy.
