Ok.I just installed GIMP.There are a blue zillion buttons.All i wanted to do is be able to make siggys.And what do i get???WAY TOO MANY BUTTONS!!!I searched a buch of tuts on it,but i have no clue what they're talking about!!c4d's? stock? overlay? Before you try to explain,pics and no computer talk will help.

This might help, it's not for your version but it will explain the basics of Gimp.

I read the whole thing.help level 0%.It looks nothing like the toolbox and screen it has-_-

Try playing around with the options and get used to everything, and then try tuts when your familiar with the basics.

I have Gimp 2.Can SOMEONE PLEASE explain to me how to do something???I can't even get a pic to go on the screen!!HELP!!

Open up a canvas. Go to File>New
Then copy your picture and paste it on there. (if you have it saved, go to File>Open and choose it and click on 'Open')
Then on the layers dialog, the layer should say 'Floating Layer' or whatever, and then just right click it and select 'New Layer' and it should stay in place once you get it in the place you want it to be.

File>new, and then you should be able to set the document size.

^Take a look around that website, especially around the help forum. It'll take a little bit of time to familiarize with the tools, but you'll get it eventually, if you stick with it.
