How about a Coins system?

I've seen this work as a 'Points' system in other vbulletin forums, except we could call it 'Coins'

Basically all it is, is you can get 1 - 2 coins per post, 5 coins per thread made, and then when you have enough coins you can use them to buy things that can change the colour of your username, or something like that.

Been suggested a lot, disadvantages included that they have to install such a system and also how post freak some members are. They would just make those 40 characters posts to get more coins, then flash their advantages to try and make them seem better.

In short it is a no, also the old Miniclip forum would be a better testing ground for that idea as there they are more relaxed about post counts and the like.

Also, something like a color change in names would make people think that person is a mod.

Good Idea though, but it just wouldnt work out right.

If it didnt cause spam, then it would be cool for a sig shop or something, and people pay coins for a sig.

As a graphics designer, I have always liked this idea. I don't like taking requests, but I would definitely make a shop and sell my work for a reasonable price.

After thinking about this, I think it should just be for Sig Shops, and maybe for custom user titles (like RFS' Snuggly Cuddly Dragon one), and not for anything else because like someone said, they'd get mixed up with who was a mod and wasn't.
