View Full Version : A fantastical piece of Atari 2600 imagery.

Howdy howdy, lately my past couple (or was it a few?) avatars have all been styled after authentic Atari 2600 graphics. The first avatar I used to have (pictured below) was a remade version of the enemies from a real Atari 2600 game known as The Alligator People (http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/alligator/alligatorpeople.htm). Of course, I touched it up a bit and added in the animated chomping motion:

(Hint: Reading the webpage linked above will probably explain to you my old custom title "Quick, Jane! Get the serum! Ah shoot, nevermind."

Recently I had thought up a funny Internet screenname that I unfortunately cannot use, "Samurai Alligator" (since everyone knows me as "RFS", changing my name would be a bad move). I brought up the old animated Alligator People avatar frames and touched them up into the following two avatars, with and without text:

Perhaps In the future I'll re-create or edit some other Atari 2600 graphics. There were dragons in the game Adventure (even though I am convinced they are DUCKS)... ;)

I like those kind of avatars. I would stay away from the text. It sort of takes it away :unsure:

P.S. You should make your current avvy wave the sword :O

RFS, if you don't want to change your RFS name to Samuri Alligator, then bside RFS, put RFS a.k.a SA(Samuri Alligator).

Yea i love those avvys, they are so cool. Someone should make a Pixelated Animal Shop or something.

I like all reptiles silly. :P

Dragons are my favorites but gators and komodo dragons are up there too. :cool:

Ducks can learn to be rather agressive if you like, I feed my duck .... tigers.
