Debate Forum?

I was just curious as to if the Miniclip staff is planning on adding a debate forum here? I enjoyed posting in the debate forum on the regular Miniclip forums and I was wondering if you could add one here. However, I would want the debate forum to be about general debates, not CP related debates.

I also enjoyed the debate forum. Very fun to debate. =P This is just a guess, but maybe they removed it because Club Penguin tends to have a less matuer audience, whilst the debate forum was for mature users. Just a guess, though.

I doubt there would be one on this forum, even though it would be good, RFS and the other staff probably wouldn't make one.

I noticed that they added a debate forum, but only certain users were granted access to it and an administrator would have to add you to the group to view and post in it. I think that the strategy that the Penguin Posters forums is a good one and that maybe it will work for this forum.

The idea of a Debate forum is for more mature debates, like Homosexuality, The War, etc.

(Wasn't really her idea, we had it in the old forum.)

Even though it would take quite some work, I think its worthwhile. It would keep the younger and less experienced users out and allows only the older and wiser usersto post in there.

Yea, but a non-CP related one would be nice. :p I guess a CP related one would be okay, but like you said, there would be a billion Rockhopper debates and other related junk that most people wouldn't care to read after a while.

The main problem is adding a system to allow members in or not, it would take a while and whoever has to decide may face problems choosing people to be allowed in. People may argue and also it would be a lot of work for people choosing who would be allowed. It would probably have to be an ask to be accepted group and if you go wrong, your out.

Althought it may face some problems, I think it is at least worth a try.

It's not like copyrighted by them, a lot of other forums do it as well with private areas for mature discussion.

Penguin Posters probably have taken some ideas off Miniclip without asking so I dont think it matters.

But of course, it seems to work for the Penguin Posters, so I would assume it should work here. And like you said, its not that hard to create usergroups and add people to them when need be

No, Dom wasn't talking about that. In a debate forum, you discuss various concepts, issues, and thoughts. He was just giving examples of what people talk about in the debate forum. There's a wide range of topics to be debated/discussed in the debate forum and not necessarily all of them are about inappropriate concepts.

Club Penguin overall has not displayed the level of maturity necessary to have a debate forum, which is why it was not added.
