Well, for Christmas this year, I am getting my own Baby Bearded Dragon! =D

My friend said they're really easy to take care of, and they live for a long time, so I'm getting the Bearded Dragon instead of a Guinea Pig.

Well, tell me your thoughts, any info you need to tell me about them, or name suggesgions! =D

Sofar, I might name him bowser. =)

Fave name suggestion so far:

Just make sure you have a proper terrarium for him and that he has a place to bask after eating. Also make sure that you've got UV lights in there, and I advise changing them about a month or so before they burn out, because they stop emitting UV long before the lights burn out.

Be gentle with him and don't disturb him when he wants his privacy and you'll have yourself a very wonderful friend for many many years. :)

i used to have a bearded dragon...
they are sort easy to take care of, if your not lazy lol. (it was hard for me so therefor im...)
they can live up to 10 years but do nothing and arent that fun but hamsters live for like, 2-3 years but are so playful and cuddly.

bearded dragon or hamster. bearded dragon or hamster;)

make sure you give him fresh veggies everyday (preferably lettuce and carrots but they eat alot MORE STUFF), make sure the tempurature is around 90 degrees in his basking spot (depending on how old he/she is) feed him bearded dragon, formula, make sure he has a place to cool off if he gets hot, turn light off at night, be gentle, oh AND YOU MUST GIVE THEM PRIVACY!

Do not feed reptiles this. Ever. It has zero nutritional value and causes them intestinal distress.

heat mat heat rock (opional)

As long as you have a basking point of about 100 degrees Fahrenheit the beardie will be ok. It is suggested you use just a regular rock and shine a UV heat lamp directly on it so the rock will heat up to around that temperature.

I suggest doing what RFS said.. Here in Metro Manila there is dragons. Try -
Giving him some food mostly every 2 hours.
Let him play with anything squishy or soft
Keep him company most of the time.
Have fun with him

Depending on how much you feed him you should feed him every day or every other day.
