To Wii or not to Wii

Should I get a Nintendo Wii or not. I have heard mixed thoughts about them. Many people don't even use their Wii anymore. I don't want to waste 400 dollars (games and controllers included) on a Wii.
Also what games should I get (including virtual console) and what accessories too!:D

I have a Wii and hardly ever play it.
It is great fun if you have parties and friends over alot
but if you're like me and have no friends then I wouldn't geit it.

It only has about 4 onine games so if your into that then your out of luck.
But overall Wii is very fun, it changes the way you play games and makes it fun to play, even if its a boring game.

Also, Wii has like a ton of games, like every week atleast 3 games are released. :)

Get a wii, best system ever. I am getting one for christmas and I can't wait. You should try not to get many virtual console games because my firend got them and like doesn't play them barly at all. I think you should get mysims as one of your first games it seems really fun I read up about it.

I am getting one, and have played one at my friend's house. Those people who say they suck are probably the ones who threw the Wiimote through the Tv. Honestly, WHO does that? Does it REALLY need to say "Warning, if let go may harm you, or your appliances"? Anyway, I would get one, they rule all other game systems.

wii is best system ever! i dont see how you can hate it. it has great games oh and about online games, theres only 5 now but there will be plenty more in the future. i play my wii everyday and not just games, i go on everybody votes, check mii out, and internet channel alot. you can also send messages from wii to wii or you can send e-mails too! its just a great system

The Wii is the best, most hi-tech console created so far. There are advantages and disadvantages however. The Wii is actually the most hi-tech console created(the "realistic" graphics of the PS3 are not hi-tech), you can upload photos from your cellphone(with a $20 SD card) and edit them with your Wii. You can download N64 and NES games with Wii points(you buy them at an electronics store). It is the lowest price console on the market. And you get to make your own Mii to make it look like you! And your Miis can be playable in most Wii games. There are 48 Channels that can be saved on your Wii1:D

There are drawbacks, however. To get Internet service you have to move your Wii towards where there is Intel Wireless signal(I have to) or get a Nintendo WiFi USB. The Wiimote needs to get rechargable batteries(they sell them with a charger at GameStop for $20). And to get N64 and NES games you need Internet(read above to get Internet signal). :(

The Wii is fun if your playing with friends, it doesn't have much of a single player experience.

it depends what type of person you are. If you are a graffics freak then dont get it, get a x-box. If you like playing games and having fun and dont care to much about graffics, then I highly recommend the wii! I have one and its really fun. Also their is a wide virety of games out.:D

Couldn't have said it better myself, it definitly is the best console out there (My opinion, PS3 is such a waste of money I think...) It is also the cheapest at home console (Besides the gamecube but the wii is a gamecube...) 100% get wii, dont get Madden 08 = worse, most unfair game ever ONLINE that is. Get wii then buy the internet channel and make sure to get online! Games you NEED to get :
1) Warioware
2) Discovery Channel Pacific game )havnt gotten yet but seems good)
3) Guitar Hero 3
4) MLB
5) ***** RESERVE SUPER SMASH BROS! **********

I never played Wii, but I read a lot information. That control is great! Not just pressing buttons! Get Wii. X-box 360 and PS3 are getting boring very fast!
