3. FAQ of Club Penguin
Q: How do you start Club Penguin?
A: ...
STEP 1: Firstly, you go to www.clubpenguin.com. There you can click the big "Play" button. Once you click "Play", Right under the "Start" on the main screen it should have something that says "Don't have a penguin? Create a free account now".
http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/6441/createcz1.png (http://imageshack.us)
Click that. There are now 8 simple steps left. Once you do that, pick your age group. Before you check both of the little boxes off, it should have a click-able link that says "Terms and Conditions", click and read that. Once you completely and carefully read that you may now check the boxes off.
Terms & Conditions (http://img133.imageshack.us/my.php?image=termsandconditionsrp6.png)
Now, pick the color of the penguin you want to start with. This part is tricky. You need to come up with a name. Now there are many names known in the Club Penguin world so if your name is picked, try adding some numbers or something. Now, you must make a password. This password will maintain your account from getting hacked. Do not do something such as "clubpenguin1" try doing something like "G3H56SV6". This will help you loads. Don't forget to write down your password and put it somewhere no one will look but you. Now, if you don't want to talk to anyone and try to be safe so people cannot track you down, click "Ultimate Safe Chat" if you want to talk freely to people, click "Standard Safe-Chat". Now you have to enter your e-mail address. If you don't have one, ask your parents. If you want to create an e-mail address by yourself, go to a nice site such as aol, hotmail or many others. Once, you have your e-mail set, you may now enter it. Now check your e-mail for your activation code.
SEND YOUR ACTIVATION CODE OR YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO LOG ON CLUB PENGUIN!
http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/5397/activationcodedy8.png (http://imageshack.us)
STEP 2: Now that you're penguin is created, you may now start Club Penguin. Go back to www.clubpenguin.com and click "Play". Now you can click "Start". When you click start it should say something like "Penguin Name:" with a big box by it. There you enter your name you made earlier. Enter the password as well. Before you click "Login" look at the two boxes that say "Remember me on this computer" and "Remember password". If you don't want to enter the stuff you just did check both of them. Now that you logged in you can now pick a server. Most of the USA servers may be full right now so try picking a server from the other 3. Once you are in the server, you can move around using the left mouse button. Now you can waddle around and meet new friends. You can also explore the vast world of Club Penguin.
STEP 3: You may be saying "Why can't I buy clothes from the Gift or Sports Shop?" well, only members can buy the main items. Now you may be saying "THAT'S NOT FAIR!!!" but it is. They have to pay about 6 dollars a month to get them. It's not just that reason but Club Penguin did that to keep the business going. They might use the money we send to them for new updates and several other things. Now, you can buy stuff or get these items called "free items". There is about 1-6 free items per month. If you feel down that you don't have any items, just wait for a party and they should give away a couple free items. Rockhopper also brings some free items for people to use. Rockhopper is a penguin who arrives on a ship at the beach. You can board his ship and look for catalog items.
STEP 4: You might wanna buy a background but not have enough money. Well, there are a bunch of minigames throughout Club Penguin. There are:
http://img133.imageshack.us/img133/35/mapgamescy0.png (http://imageshack.us)

Q. Someone is my buddy and I want to find them but I can't!
A. Well, when you log onto a server you should see the buddy icon smiley. You can go there and open your friends list. Look for that buddy and click the smiley with only eyes but no mouth. It should say where they are.
Buddy Button (http://img341.imageshack.us/my.php?image=buddyfindjz0.png)
Q. I want to visit an igloo but how?
A. Well you can open your map (down-left corner of the game screen) and look for the something that looks like an igloo. Click that and it should list several different igloos. Igloo (http://img341.imageshack.us/my.php?image=visithomelj6.png)
Q. What's a mod?
A. A moderator. Simply a person who may work on the name and manage it's financial troubles as well. There are 3 mods who are basically known by everyone. You can find the blog by clicking here (blog.clubpenguin.com).
Moderator Identification (http://img114.imageshack.us/my.php?image=43576426yj8.png)
Q. Where can I find Rockhopper, Aunt Arctic and G?
A. Well, Rockhopper might be throughout Club Penguin. If you see him click the friend button and he'll give you another free item! Now remember that Rockhopper is VERY hard to find. He rarely ever talks either. Aunt Arctic writes her own section in the newspaper. Aunt Arctic isn't an actual penguin that you can find, maybe she will in the future though. G is a secret agent who works on many of the updates in Club Penguin and works on some of the missions. NOTE: These aren't what they actually do, the mods do these things but portrayed these penguins to disguise their roles.
Q. How do I send postcards?
A. You can send postcards to penguins by click the penguin and find a button that looks like an envelope. Click it and it should list a lot of postcards. Pick out one you want, they all cost 10 coins.
Sending a postcard (http://img102.imageshack.us/my.php?image=sendmailsn4.png)
Q. What's a glitch?
A. A glitch or bug is something that may be wrong with the game. The thing you need to know is the difference between a hack and a glitch. A hack would be something like reading the newpaper while walking around. A glitch would be something like going up by the newspaper. You can see Glitch Guides for more glitches.
Glitch Example (http://img114.imageshack.us/my.php?image=chatbarglitchuf5.png)
Q. Secrets in mini games?
A. Yup, there are most definantely secrets in mini games. Here are a few listed below...
Ice Fishing:
1. When you start to see the big fish in the background, catch a fish and save it. If you see more coming you can catch them for more points.
2. When the big fish is floating past you, put your fish in front of it's mouth.
3. You got some extra bonus money!
Jet Pack Adventure:
1. In the last level, try to keep going left until you hear weird music.
2. Go down and you should find a butt-load of coins and a fuel container.
Astro Barriers:
1. Wait at (meaning in-between 10-11, 20-21, and 30-31) levels 10, 20, and 30 until a blue ship appears.
2. Shoot the ship.
Thanks.
Q. What can I buy?
A. If you're a non-member you can buy colors from the catalog and backgrounds from the catalog. You can also buy certain items.
Q. Why is there a newspaper?
A. Well, it tells you what current events are happening around Club Penguin. They may list parties or even updates for catalogs. Remember to check the newspaper every Thursday. You can also look at past newspapers in the Boiler room.
Q. Where's the Iceberg, Dojo and Mine Shack?
A. Open your igloo and notice a land of ice to the right side. It should be floating in water. That is the Ice Berg. The Dojo is the club house looking thing in the mountains near the middle on the map. The Mine Shack is located in the middle between the Dojo and Iceberg. It should look like a house covered in snow.
Iceberg, Dojo, Mine Shack map (http://img102.imageshack.us/my.php?image=minegklhfniuovw8.png)
Q. What's a puffle?
A. A puffle looks like this: :puffle:, it's a furry creature that were found around Club Penguin a while back. Non-members can buy certain puffles like the blue puffle and red puffle. You can also feed your puffle and play with it. Just go to your igloo and click your puffle. It should say stuff about them.
Puffle (http://img102.imageshack.us/my.php?image=poofleit1.png)
Q. What's a "Clearance Item"?
A. A clearance item is an item that is getting ready to leave the catalog. You may want to purchase it if you want.
Clearence Items (http://img114.imageshack.us/my.php?image=clearencepy8.png)
Q. Someone hacked me, what do I do?!?
A. Take it easy. Just change your password if you're not banned. Try making it longer. If they banned you it would make it harder. If it's just a 1 or 2 day ban just wait. If it's a perma-ban or IP ban, e-mail Club Penguin Support and tell them how it happened. They may not believe you so bring some kind of evidence.
Q. I want an old item, how do I get one?
A. Well, some items may never come back (eg. Beta Tester Party Hat) but others will! All you have to do is check the catalog for one. If it's not there, be patient. Old items don't appear when you want them to. Just wait for next month!
Q. Can I be a ninja?
A. Not necessarily at the moment.

There are:
