What would you say is the best reptile for a pet? Cuz I really want one. For some reason, they're just awesome-looking and very interesting.

I was thinking a beared dragon, i think thats what they're called. Though it'd be awesome to get a smaller one.

So, what do you think? And what would be you ideal reptile pet?

Bearded dragons (beardies! :3) are easy to take care of, corn snakes are pretty docile and low-maintenance as well.

Just make sure you've got them a nice terrarium, a good diet, and all of that jazz. :)

I think turtles are kind of boring...

Turtles are silly.

Except for they'd be like, the longest living pet.

And I've got quite a huge space in my room where they could go, and they'd have a nice, giant tank(w/e its called) and of course a nice diet. It's just deciding what to get.

Best reptile pet = None. Nah, if I had to get one I'd rather a lizard of some kind, not a big one though.
I don't trust myself with snakes...

Pythons are pretty demanding of specific temperatures and environments from what I understand (and having a pet Komodo Dragon is illegal as they are a Threatened species :().

RFS is just jealous because I thought of a Python as a pet before he did.

They aren't TOO hard to take care of...
But I say Green Day Geckos are real easy to take care of.
Bearded dragons get REAL huge after a while though...
Also its called Chameleon not chamleon!:shout:

There's a bearded dragon at the pet store that's in good health for only 49.99 right now near where I live.

I think I will get a gecko if I got a reptile because I would think they are easy so for my first pet (yeah my first PET) I think it would be a good choice

If you or anyone else is considering getting one, I just want to stress again that you gotta be ready to take the responsibility. If not for yourself but for the reptile. :)
