I do not have any type of reptiles, but my old neighbor loved reptiles.
Believe it or not, he had a Boa, Rattle Snake, a Black King Snake, and a small Iguana.
It was also always enjoying watching him feed the snakes.

They really are awesome. I've always wanted one. Sadly, they grow up to 3 feet in length, so my mom won't let me get one.
But, I spoil my Bearded Dragon so much. :) He has a really nice desert theme going on in his cage. Haha, and he has a hammock. Man, he loves that hammock.
Gah, I could ramble all day about lizards. You gotta love reptiles. :D
(Including you RFS, Of course. Duh. )

Three feet? That's all? :P
I would like to get an Argentine Tegu sometime during my life, they can grow up to be anywhere from three to five feet long depending on what you feed them and how often. It is not unusual for them to grow from a few inches to under two feet in their first year of life.
I'd also like a Caiman Crocodile too. They can grow up to six feet in length. Crocs are notoriously difficult to take care of, though. :P

The Argentine Tegu is enormous! It's very muscular and thickly built. They live around 15 years too, they would be hard to take care of. But apparently, they never bite! (suprisingly) If you ever get it, you'll have to tell me all about it!
:P
Caiman Croc, good luck with that one. ;) Plus they live 30-70 years. Woah. Though they are small, they can deliver a nasty bite.
Hah, as you can tell... I love reptiles. :)

A Tegu will bite if it feels threatened or is uncomfortable (just like any other animal). I'd like one because they are rather intelligent reptiles and can learn to associate colors, sounds, and other senses to specific things. (ie: You can paper-train them or teach them that when you put them "here" that means feeding time.)

Wow, that's pretty interesting! I knew they were intelligent, but I didn't know they were THAT intelligent! I hope you end up getting a Tegu. :D
(This relates, but it has to do with mammals. Sorry, haha.) Suprisingly, Rabbits are also very smart. I own 2 rabbits, and I constantly try to teach them tricks. So far, they are litter trained... And they also ring a bell in their cage when they are hungry. I also taught them to "slam dunk" in their food dish. They have a toy baseball that they throw around. And then, they like to 'slam dunk' it into the food dish. It's pretty hilarious. :)

I have always wanted a snake or pehaps the occasional dragon.
I used to catch geckos and put them in a frog "bio-dome." I probably had at least 50 in my time of "collecting."

I dont own one but i found a baby king snake in my bathroom then I found a big one in my back yard and i scared me cuz i stepped on it on accident cuz i couldnt see it then it tryed to bite me. Oh and ihave a bunch of geckos living in my sprinkler box thingy they eat all the crickets around my house. The only thing I dont like about them is sometimes they come inside and walk on the ceiling

I don't believe king snakes are venomous. I'm not sayin' their bite wouldn't mess you up or wouldn't hurt (because it probably does if it's big enough) but, if it did nip you I'm pretty sure you're safe, just clean it up. Then again, if you are never able to identify the kind of snake that bit you it is always a good idea to seek medical help. Either way, you're lucky you didn't get the tooth. :P
And geckos are cool. There are some that live outside on the porch (and come out at night of course). During the day there aren't very many lizards outside, I think I can count on one hand the number of garter snakes I've seen around the place. Last time I saw a garter snake I was using a tractor to mow my neighbor's lawn. I saw the grass moving and immediately turned to avoid the snake, drove straight up and over a small bush /tall grass and into a tree root which promptly broke the blades, and I ended up hitting the snake anyways. :(
