If there's one thing we all miss, it's the "good ol' days" of CP. Penguins were treated equally, hackers and "rare" penguins didn't have penguins crowding around them, and old items weren't brought back. Club Penguin videos were all the rage, the dojo was still considered "secret," and Mammoth was almost always full.

If you miss these times, and want to remember them, then you've come to the right thread. Project: Old Days is where you can come, watch videos, view pictures, read stories, and talk to others about the memories that we've all shared over the years.

I really miss the Sport's Party. It was one of my favorite parties on Club Penguin(Not including the holiday parties).
It was a great party. The new update to the Ice Rink was awesome. The whole Red vs. Blue thing was fun.

Here is my story:

If there is one thing I will always remember are my first days on Club Penguin. The St. Patricks Day Party '06 was in full swing. I was asked to come to the Dojo for a snowball party. So I asked some penguin where this "Dojo" was. Back then the chat system wasn't crap and penguins were half decent. He told me to look on the map and click on the mountain and like magic I appeared in the Dojo. This was my first party. We split up into teams: red, yellow, purple, etc. and the snowball fight commenced! In the end there wasn't really a victor, no one cared, it was just for the fun of it.

This was my funnest time on Club Penguin and to this day I still have "Oceanpurl" on my buddy list. Even though he has quit.

I hope you've enjoyed this little story.

Ok this is my story:
January 06: My friends said to me hey join club penguin! I thought "THAT CHLD GAME???" So I said no way that game is for losers

April 06: Since that so much pop-ups on miniclip came up about it and so much people talked about it I joined. Now my name. I thoought of a ton like gonets19, nascarsux9 (Now I like NASCAR :O) iraqboo87, and sillysilly4. Then I tried one last name O Yo and... IT WORKED!!! So I typed my email address in activeted my account and I was set!!! So I logged in went to USA and went to Snow Day. I logged on too the Plaza where I saw lotsof people with red spinny hat (It was April 15th) so I asked where did you get that??? They said 2 weeks ago. So I contined and went in the Pizza Parlor. Where I met my first buddy!!! Pg42. I told him that I was new so he showed me around and then when he finished I went in the Night Club and danced. About 2 days later there was a Easter Egg Hunt so that was when I got my first idem. The Pink Bunny Ears. So I walked around in that and then from that day on

Now-a-days you see multiple hackers, and people of that sort walking around the place. "Rare" penguins being begged, BEGGED, for their buddy approval. This is the Club Penguin we live in now, no longer a safe, and happy place to be. People have grown out of this enjoyable place and are now trying to make it as the world is today. This is causing some penguins to just up-and-leave Club Penguin ALL TOGETHER. I myself was at this point some time ago. I was sucked back into the hypnotizingly fun game that was, and still is my favorite internet game.

I hope you have all enjoyed reading my little summary of what Club Penguin has grown out of, and is now. I wish that I could go into the past and make it stay the way it was. But unfortunately with the rate of new people coming in and bringing the real world in that will not happen. Also with the addition of Disney this game will become even MORE spam populated. So all I have to say is... to all you new penguins out there... stay safe, and be a happy-go-lucky kid on this very fun game. :)

If you dont want to see the hackers and boring rare ppl then go onto a different server! Thats why I always go on Bellyslide, its not popular! :rolleyes:

Ahh the good ol' days of CP where everything was just chilled. I remember when I first started, all the hype was about the mine opening and I remember when the party started, all you could see as a non-member was all the memeber penguins walk into the speaker in the nightclub and the manhole next to the pet shop. Everyone was just so friendly, and I didn't have to worry about forumers catching me out dating like 50 penguins at the same time. LOL. All I had were a few non-member items as well. I also remember going to the dojo every night at 8:30pm, Australian time, at blizzard server to meet with my best friend ever on CP, Luv Is Life. We always used to talk about anything and everything, and she used to be so friendly and down to earth. Plus the filters weren't as strict. And there would always be this gang of 5 black penguins who used to sit in the middle of the dojo at the same time, just talking about how cool they were. I used to get so jealous and angry, but now when I look at it, I just laugh and sigh and wish I could go back in time. If I could go back to the ol' days just for one day, I would do anything just to go back. I also didn't know about the forums, people's wordpresses, chat's, youtube videos, or any of that stuff. Now the game has turned into a popularity constest, which is really sad, and it seriously sucks so bad now. I also remember going to mammoth more often to see the ultra rare cool penguins with the ghost sheets and beta hats. It was so funny, there would be a crowd of like 30 penguins sorrounding them asking to be their friend. Man those days were awesome. Too bad they're gone now... -_-

The Story of Baboons

It all started on a chilly day in the center of Maryland. My brother and I went over to our friend's house to hang out. It turned out that it was going to be more than that. Everyone knew in my community that I loved Penguins. This was before the game and everything. So my friend showed me this game his sister showed him. He had a penguin Tiger87 and his sister had Chubbos. I tried so many names that day, I started with penguin names, squirrel names, and then it happened. I just said Baboons, then added a 33. Thus Baboons33 was born. My brother soon came to be Jeffman111, and we started on different computers in two different rooms. We started in our home server, Icicle. We met our first friend, Jeff34. Sadly Jeff34 isnt on anymore, or I dont think so. I played my first gfame, Ice Fishing. Then I saw the puffle and thought it was stupid. It didnt take long for me to buy one...:rolleyes: So I have been playing Club Penguin ever since. The Easter Egg hunt was soon there, and the Pink Bunny Hood was soon mine. But sadly, the fun days of penguin running around our winter wonderland and everyone being treated the same, is all just a nice memory.

Ahh the start of clubpenguin. I actually started CP about when I was 11. I stopped for a while bbecause i thought it was kind of silly. Then my friend got a hold of miniclip and saw the penguiny game. By now I have forgotten about CP completley. I checked it out and im like "hey I have my old account!" Turns out my sister banned it. So I made Jbam. _Insert stuff that happend in CP here_ all that stuff. So I go to school and my friend told people that we play clubpenguin. Being me, a christian guy who doesnt really care if people dont think im cool enough, I confirm the statement and tell people I play it. So Im on the next day and I penguin waddles up to me. He says "hi" I say hi back in a confusing way. I start to waddle off but then he yells "Wait its Jake from school" I stop emmideatley because he was one of the people who cares what other people think of him. "I started playing because of you" we smile at each othe, become buddies, be on our way. You can do a lot if you be yourself. (If your thinking of the title name, this was my short hair days. Now im in my long hair days. MY MOM WANTS T CUT IT OFF!)

*sniffle* brings back so many good memories when everyone was sled racing or in the pizza parlor pretending to own it & be "the boss". when there was no cove, forest, theater... when we bought the items we wanted to instead of what would be rare in the future. when we worked hard for our coins and there was no "hacking". when blizzard was the hot spot & you tried so hard to get into it. when you could say NUMBERS! and there was this smiley: :D instead of the other weird one.

Here is my story:

If there is one thing I remember about my first days of CP was the Summer Party 2006. It was crowded, crazy, wild, and one of the best parties on CP. At first, I did not know what to do. My sister had played it a little ealier, so she helped me get the hang of things. Thats the day I met my First friend, Pinky Coco. She was one of my best friends on CP, until she deleted me. But anyway, back to the party. So their I was, waddling around in the town, Docks, and the Plaza.

After I waddled around for a about 30 minutes, I saw something that caught my eye, The Yellow Duck. I waddled over to it, and picked it up. But remember, this was the time when you coulden't take the yellow duck off. Once you put it on, it stayed on, until Cp fixed the bug. Then, I waddled on over to the Orange water wings, picked those up, and waddled some more. I got off, and diden't get on til the next day.

The next day:

This is when I found the whistle. My most favorite item on CP ever (until they brought it back in June or July 07). I had that thing on forever. Then, I also found the Blue lei. I didn't like that item so much. I thought it was ugly. Then i waddled some more, met some new frends, and had a great time.

Ok here's my story of how did I find CP:
I was surfing at At Miniclip.com for fun when I saw the advertisment for CP. Because I like I thought trying the game. Within two days I have got addicted to the safe world of CP, with 0% chances of hacking, lying, etc.
A week after my logging the April Fools day party came on! I soon realized that the Red Proppeler Caps were free items and was guided by a penguin to the plaza. Soon I doned myself with one and got addicted to the hovering, the Red Propeller cap soon became my favorite item, I rarely remove it.

I feel as though I hated Club penguin for a while with all of it's new updates, but I remember the Western Party and the X-Mas of '06 and the Halloween Party. I loved Club Penguin back then, and whenever a party comes up that I remember like the Christmas coming up, it just makes me want to go back to those days and play.

Rod, What i miss the most is spring and summer of -06 they were good times! The sports party cave party Easter egg hunt i miss it all! :(

If there was anything I could bring back from ClubPenguin, it would definently be the reason the game was created. The game was created to interact and making online friends- well now it is far from the point.

The new point is to waddle around and crowd people with pixels, and I am sick and tired of it. Those penguins who are clearly younger than us revolve everything about their online account around items, which is just so dumb! If I could bring back when people would befriend other users because they really knew each other, they were friends, or wanted to make friends with ANYONE who sits behind that cpu screen, I would. It's not the same, truly, not the same. Ever since the 'hacking' and so called pixel 'fame' it has ruined. Also, many things have been taken from the filters which bugs me A LOT. But of course, this may never end.

When I did the "HOW OLD ARE YOU" thing
Obviously I did 9-14
But I thought it was divided only 9-15 year olds and people that did a different age we could never see on the game
That would be fun
I found out I was wrong though

Heres my story on my first time joining club penguin.

My friend really liked Miniclip.com Because of all of the fun games they had on it, We already knew about runescape, But the number 2 game, was club penguin! So we clicked it, and made an account, I remember I started in the gift shop. Everyone was wearing the red spinny hat, And It was aprils fools, So everything was different. I didn't know what I was doing, So I just went out the gift shop door and went exploring around Club Penguin. I stopped by the plaza and got the red spinny hat. I remember there was only a couple places open where you can go to, not that much, but really, All I can remember was the beach wasn't open.
Then I remember, The next day I got on, everything was gone ( I didn't know they had parties)
No music nothing, Then I just got confused till the next party came. And I never read the news papers, So that's probably why.

Then everyone was nice and funny, Then I invited my girl friend to play, And we were always on.
Ahh, Good times in club penguin.

Sad thing is, I didn't even know the boiler room existed till the end of 2006 (january)

And that's my wonderful story, I could tell you much more, but I think you're probably sick of reading this. (: Good-bye

OMG! I remember when we had to choose our age! I chose 9-14 too!

And if you chose that you were 18 or older, they would say you're too old with an old penguin or something like that.
