I have a question. When i keep pasting the render until it fills up the screen it keeps adding new layers so i cant smudge it. Can you help me with that?

Try right clicking on the layer on the "Layer Dialogue" screen and clicking "Merge Down" until all of the pasted renders you need are on the same layer. Then you should be able to smudge them.
Nice tut. For a first it is pretty good. The outcome is pretty nice too.

Can I have the links to the C4d's please?
Outcome is decent, but the tut looks good.
6.8/10 for outcome
7.8/10 for tut.

Sure I'll post them. I have to find them first. I'll edit this when I find it.
Here they are:

I can't find the other, sorry. It's been like 4 months since I saved it. Who knows where it is now.

Ok, thanks.
Was that the first or second C4d used?
I also suggest bringing the regular/fixed tut to the first post.

Thanks for the help! I need more though. I tried putting in a flame after i smudged it and it got messed up. So how do you add the flame. (I rather use a flame than c4d)
Edit: Nevermind. I'll post my result soon.
Edit 2: I followed most of the tut. Here it is:

Where your layer window is, at the top it should say 'Mode:Normal' click on Normal and there is a drop-down list. Then select Overlay.

If you still have Gimp 2.2 it's Script-Fu>Decor>Add Border

Go to Dialogs>Create New Dock>Layers (or something like that)
Click it in a spot at the top where it says the Modes and stuff (you'll see a image if you cliked it in the right spot) and drag it to your Gimp toolbar thing.
Well, that was confusing.

Why can't you smudge? Try changing to options on the smudging and try smudging. That sig is probably one of your better ones, though.
