Vital Viper

Well over the past few days I'm sure lots of you have read and interpreted the quotes that I have placed in my sig. I have received a few questions about them and even had one user comment:
I don't get it...
Isn't it saying to not be a Vital Viper?
I want the quotes to stay so I figured I'd give you my two cents worth about how I interpret them as the subject of today's blog.
_______________
"Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value."
-Albert Einstein
I'd consider Albert Einstein successful, wouldn't you? It is important to note from the beginning that the person giving advice is knowledgeable in that area. Just like how you wouldn't take war strategies from France, or relationship advice from RFS.
To me he is saying, If your goal in life is to be successful, (who's isn't?) then the best way to reach success is to be someone who deserves the respect that is success.
I never tried to become 'successful' in Club Penguin, but rather aimed to 'be a man of value' by being a good example to other users.
_______________
"The price of greatness is responsibility."
-Winston Churchill
Winston Churchill, no doubt a great man. Someone worthy of giving advice on what it means to become/be great.
This quote is allot like the one Spiderman battles with in his movies "With great power comes great responsibility" There are things you have to sacrifice when you are responsible for other people. It truly is a price to be paid (and they don't accept cash or credit cards.) :(
As a so called "famous penguin" I give up the 'normal' life and subject myself to crowds of adoring fans. It makes them happy, and I want them to be happy. If I can make someone's day by playing them in find four, going sled racing, or even having a party in my igloo then that makes me feel like I am using my 'greatness' responsibly.
_______________
"Don't try to take on a new personality; it just doesn't work."
-Richard M. Nixon
No one better than a former US President to tell us what works and doesn't work when it comes to interacting with other people, right?
My interpretation here is "Be yourself, if you try to be someone your not people will notice."
I can't just BOOM become a different person, and honestly if I tried it would be silly. I've earned all the respect I've gotten from being myself. That said you have noticed some changes. Lets just say that I've decided to censor some things in order to use my influence in a more positive matter. But I guarantee you, I am still the same Vital Viper, I just have some new rules to follow that I had never realized I was breaking.
_______________
It kinda makes me disappointed that I am often looked at as not being true to these quotes. And that these ideas of value, responsibility, and being yourself are not considered very 'Vitalviperlike' If you did manage to read all this and would like to respond by interpreting them yourself or comment on what I have said I ask you to complete the evaluation of my sig by rating my sig pic. Rate high, RFS is watching! ;)
