(10-26-7) Vital Viper Fan Club!!!

Well with all this forum history coming out (in other mod blogs) I knew I couldn't give you my ENTIRE history, so I have decided to tell you the story about when I was new to the forums.

Well I've never been a computer savy person and the Miniclip Forums were actually my first experience with foruming in general. I didn't even read the rules!!!

Back then any time I posted I would have the rest of the thread filled with "Hey Vital Meet me in such in such server PLZ!!!" Infractions didn't exist and there weren't any mods assigned to the forum besides Ben and we saw him just as much then as we do now :P. Even RFS was a normal user back then!

There were no sub forums so Clubs/Teams didn't exist. I decided that I was going to make a thread so that people could post there instead of ruining perfectly fine threads. I decided it would be funny to call it "The Vital Viper Fan Club" and it was an instant hit.

Only problem was that Ben didn't seem to think it was very clever of me to make my OWN fan club :rolleyes: and put an end to it. This misinterpreted thread is the origin of all EGO jokes you hear today. Thankfully the thread was deleted forever a long time ago so you have no proof :P

Well it is kinda symbolism. The forums/subforums is like the tapistry and each thread posted acts as a 'thread' that comes together to make the forums what it is.

Well when arrogent people become popular they don't stay popular because they don't appreciate their fans!!!

Remember the very old days, they we're amazing though I wish I had a better entry, not one that you thought I was a immature n00b:) But I sort of was then, I thought I was smart enough to pull of an edit. Which was done in 2 seconds got yellow colour and coloured it in, leaving a blue line around the puffle.

That was my puffle, my yellow puffle.

Pippyspot was the only one who forgave me. She was so sound. I actually miss her.-_-

I'm only a mod here on the forums.

But being mistaken for an actual CP mod is a real compliment, but I don't want to take any glory away from the people who work long and hard to make the game as great as it is. The real CP mods are the ones who deserve the recognition and honor, I'm just a fan of their game just like you are.

I'm happy they took post count off again, and anyone who doesn't like that it was taken off needs to reevaluate their reasons for being on this forum.

Same concept as golf except you have courses designed to use discs instead of balls, and clubs.

yea I didn't ask for it, and I really didn't want to close it because it was only the actions of a few people that were causing the trouble. A centralized thread for me to talk to my fans would have been great but I'm man enough to admit when something turned out to be more trouble than it is worth, and to consider the good of the forum before the luxury that it would given me.

lol, you misunderstood. Someone actually started a real VV Fan club here and I had to close it because of all the drama it caused.

I wasn't and I know for a fact RFS wasn't staying up tonight.

Better in what respect? We both have our strengths and weaknesses. Generally speaking between the two of us you have the vast majority of the popularity of the forum. He tends to be more of a general chat type where as I frequent the CP stuff. We don't overlap enough to compete, although it wasn't always that way.

Having said that, please stop talking about yourself. Vital, people are always going to try to attack you, because they don't like you. No matter what you do, people will always dislike you. Every time they attack you, you try to (rightfully) justify yourself and clear yourself of the accusations. And boy, do you get a lot of them.

But to do this, you need to speak the truth, and that is that you are popular. You need to address this in your post for the whole story to be heard. But when you continually try and defend yourself and address popular you are over and over and over again, it sounds A LOT like bragging. I know it isn't, but it sounds like it.

A lot of forumers, myself included, are sick and tried of hearing about. Stop trying to argue with the people that hate you, is what I'm trying to say I guess. You won't change their minds and everyone else is getting fed up with you talking about your ego, your popularity, and this and that in every single post.

We wish you would just act like a normal user sometimes, and comment more on the game and such than on yourself.

Don't let the blackmail and hate beat you, the only way you can beat it is ignore it, not make countless threads and posts defending yourself. Because the real you, the truth is out there and people can find them out for themselves by reading your posts, your real ones, not your ones talking about how popular you are.

The subject is not a matter of win or lose. The argument is over.

The subject here is public opinion. Everyone has different opinions of me and I respect that. I appreciate knowing ho not only the people who have seen me from the start but also the opinion of those who have just met me. The reason I worry so much about how people feel about me is because I know I'm a role model to allot of other users. I don't want to be seen as egotistical so I was simply trying to explain myself yet the people who think I'm egotistical only see that as me being more egotistical.

My only wrong is that I care too much. But I can't help that, it is part of my human nature.

As a role model I have made the following decisions in order to be sure that simple things I do as well as things I have done in the past do not get misinterpreted.

Akabob: Yeah, I only have 63 posts (64 now :P) but like Vital was saying this is the impression I got from reading his recent posts. Plus what other people of said about him, and just because I only have 64 posts doesn't mean I don't know how to use the search feature and read old threads.

Vital, I think those are some good decisions. I haven't seen your youtube videos or anything, but the ego jokes could stop.

Also, I know it is just in your nature, but to many it would seem like you were bragging again in that post. ("I know a am a role model to allot of people") Just to let you know, where people get these misconceptions of you and how rumors start in the first place.

I also forgot to mention that I closed the nonmember club and appointed a new leader. I don't want anyone to think that I am using my moderator power to have a popular club and get people to do what I want.

You can always pick apart everything and find something. The point is that I feel I have a responsibility to be a good role model, the more people I can positively effect the better.

I did because I didn't want too much attention being brought to this thread since we are somewhat going on about a close topic.

Who is to say I'm more popular than the other mods? I think we are all popular in our own way no matter how many fans we have or how big our crowds get on CP.

Wow. A lot went on while I was away. Sheesh.

My opinion isn't of much consequence as I don't know much about what goes on with this subject of Vital Viper popularity since I don't play CP; but I thought I'd inject it into the the fray anyway.

Speaking as someone who has only just met Vital Viper, I must say that I get many mixed messages. I don't really know what to think about him anymore. Sometimes he seems nice. Other times he seems egotistical. I was just really confused by his apparent multi-personality.

Reading about all of this history and stuff and reading some of that Vital Viper Fan Club thread, I have come to the conclusion that Viper is a tad egotistical but, overall, a very nice person who is, yes, very popular on CP and is struggling to come to terms with how to deal with that.
It's something that, if anyone notices, all popular people have a hard time dealing with, whether they let it go to their head or not.

I was on a forum once where I started to become very popular. It was, to say the least, unnerving because people were literally watching for when I would come on. I couldn't just come on and read threads. I had to post every time because that's what they wanted. (I had to log in every time just to view the forum because this forum was one where people were prevented from just annonymously roaming by requiring an account to view it.) I dropped off because I couldn't deal with it. I just wanted to be somewhere where I could just post, just have a good time. I felt bad about it; but I knew that they would all be just fine. They would all forget about me and get on with things. It's been...I think...2 years now.

Viper, I think that you might think that you have gotten a handle on it; but I don't think that you have completely. I think that some of this is going to your head because I can see it in some of your posts; and that's what others are reacting to. I'm glad that you are going to stop trying to defend yourself in such ways because it really isn't helping. If you're popular, you're popular. Leave it at that. Don't talk about it. Just let it be what it is.

At the same time, I think that other people who have a problem with Viper's popularity need to shut up. He's popular. So what? Get over it. If he's egotistical and you can't stand that, walk away. It's nothing that will affect you. You don't need to put him in his place. He is what he is.
I guess, it might be good to give him a reality check; but state your opinion and leave it at that. The arguing and reiterating of the same points over and over and over again that I read in the Vital Viper Fan Club thread was unnecessary and made most of the people who were doing so just seem like they were just jealous. If you have a problem, hit the report button or send an e-mail to RFS and state your case clearly. I understand getting ticked off. I'm human. I get ticked off, too. But try! There's a fine line that shouldn't be crossed here.

This shouldn't be going on and on and on for months, years, or however long this argument has been going on. I don't really know. It's ridiculous.
