Hip Replacement Surgery

Well my Dad is going to get Hip Replacement Surgery tommarrow, he keeps limping around going like "I'm not gonna make it." and "I'm going to die." I hope he is Ok. They have to replace his hip joint with metal by cutting his leg open and then sawing off part of his bone and... Eew I just hope he is ok. I keep telling him that it is not really a big deal but he keeps flipping out over it saying that he will never be the same and he will never be as good as sports ever again and all that stuff... He will be in the hospital for four days and out of work for four weeks. If he lives...:( Which I'm saying he definatly will because there is no way this can kill him, not on my watch.

Dont worry about a hip replacement surgery. He will be fine and
will be better in no time. I know that having surgery is pain and
scary, but it goes by fast if you have a lot of support from familly
and friends :). Hip surgery does affect you playing sports though,
so I can not say much about that. Because of my bad heart I have
never been able play sports. There is nothing wrong with being on
the side lines every once in a while :confused:

I hope your dad gets out of it okay. My favorite aunt had surgery on her heart like half a year ago...She got better fairly quickly.

Well the surgery just went through and he is ok now, but he still has to stay in the hospital for a few days.

My aunt had hip replacement surgery and she's fine now. So yeah...

This is an important surgery but it is not life threatining, so your dad will be fine. Good luck to him :D
