School is a horrible place where you are thrown into a cesspool of conformity, stupidity, zero tolerance, and mindless rules. You are expected to learn things that you will never use in your life. If they say kids are the future, why subject them to this torture?
Ok, i've made a point.

Actually it's just that you refuse to learn.
In Collage it's supposed to be MUCH better. Schools just really prepare you for collage. And plus, Math: something you'll never need? LOL.Everything is something you use everyday, you just don't realize it.

You're right and not right. Yes, school can be torture. If you think about it, they can't actually tell you what to do. They just scare you. yeah so it's rebellious, but they need to make it in a way where we won't hate the teachers. Personally, I hate mine period. but without school, there would be no cp, no miniclip, no food, no nothing. Just lots of deaths in the world. Without school, you can't track toradoes to see if they are coming to you. Or hurricanes. or severe thungerstorms! Now THAT would be trouble now wouldn't it? Plus, your parents would go to jail if you didn't go to school/
MORLE: Yeah, school can be a pain in the butt, but it is important. and a law. As much as it can be, after mabye 10 years (depending on how old you are) you'll have your masters degree. Then won't ever have to deal with school again. At least untill you have a kid.
Off topic: Phenom where did you get that avvy??? I need one of that bad attitude doctor house doing something stupid.

School can be torture, we all have to go through it sometime unless you want to grow up an idiot living with your mom. Face it, without school, you will end up with a lame job getting paid minimum wage. Beleive me, I know what you mean about how school can be boring but it's just something planning us for our futures. You don't want to grow up an idiot do ya?

1. I love learning, but I hate school. School gives learning a bad name. (I get most of my info from books.)

You do understand that there are some things books can't teach you. Plus many people can't comprehend the meaning of things without being tought properly.
And no your not the only person who has a brain, you just one of the few who knows how to really use it

People who hate school are usualy un-popular, unless there in like 5th grade... Witch I wouldn't be suprised if you were a 5 grader.

I'm not really very fond of school, even though I love learning. I get most of the information from books and if there's anything I don't understand, I usually ask my mother.
Even though lessons can be boring sometimes, I can't give a general conclusion that school sucks. However, sometimes I just feel the way you feel now, especially when tests are nearing or when we're given tedious assignments.
A reason for me to dislike school is that I have to wake up very early and I hate waking up before the sun rise. Another reason for me to look forward to holidays and breaks. ;)
Also, I don't like the way teachers can't tolerate a bit of talking. I don't know about the teachers in your school, but teachers are like that in my school. They expect the class to be as quiet as a graveyard, and they can't stand a bit of playfulness. Their tolerance level is very low.
But school is something we can't escape - it's not a dream you can wake up from, neither is it a fiction story you can put away. Therefore, I think we should (and HAVE TO) face it bravely, and try our best to endure all we can.

The zero tolerance thing in my school is quite obnoxious. Also, the things we learn are never really going to be needed.
Like science, what will it be used for in life for most of us?
If George Bush went to school, why is he an idiot right now?

Judging by that grammar, I wouldn't be suprised if you are in 5th grade. Second of all, popularity doesn't matter.

HAHA. Your kidding right? You must have not have gotten the memo America got sent in the mail a year back. He hasn't really done us any good as far as I can tell, more poverty, more homeless people. More, more, more. He's spent trilions on a war that WE'RE STILL NOT WINNING! Can you tell I'm not a fan? If you can tell me one good thing he's done for us BESIDES trying to kill innocent Iraqi's I will fall off my seat in shock. Please, list one.
I don't go to school, because it's a waste of time. I stay home I get all my homework done in two hours, the teaching of that lesson is included in that two hours.

And you got that from an European site... Anyway without school, it doesn't mean your stupid.
They say school is for learning? Well, being bored is hardly any way to learn anything! No wonder most people don't remember what they were forced to memorize at school. School isn't about learning, it's about training people to be obedient to those with authority over them.
Don't trust school to 'educate' you - only you can be trusted with that!
Another Fact:
2) You're not the only one.
Lots of young people hate school. Lots of older people still hate school. Does that mean people who hate school are doomed to "flip burgers the rest of their lives"? Nope. Just because someone hates school doesn't mean they hate learning - in fact, often people hate school precisely BECAUSE they love learning - school is so boring it gives learning a bad name.
Some people who won the Nobel Prize hated school:
George Bernard Shaw said, "There is nothing on earth intended for innocent people so horrible as a school."
Albert Einstein said, "Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school."
And my last one:
5. "School is just something that everyone has to do." - The rite of passage argument
Answer: The only reason that minors must go to school is because adults have decided they should.
Again, I'M NOT SAYING I'M DUMB. I'm an honor roll student. I hate school, but I like reading books and writing poems.

PS: I got the quotes from:
http://www.school-survival.net/
PSS: About making friends:
1. "If children didn't go to school, how would they socialize?"
Answer: This argument is based on the assumption that children are incapable forming relationships outside of a certain building. School can allow socialization but children can also socialize outside of school.
(Comment: )
A family member asked my wife, "Aren't you concerned about his (our son's) socialization with other kids?" My wife gave this response: "Go to your local middle school, junior high, or high school, walk down the hallways, and tell me which behavior you see that you think our son should emulate." – Manfred B. Oooh, look you found one! Too, bad they've raised them higher again.
I don't support those wars or back them in anyway.
Freedom? Under our rules and regulations? Do you their was this guy, he didn't pay his income taxes and he asked the government to show him a law that said he had to pay his taxes. They wouldn't show it to him. He was living in his house, which they called a compound and now he is going to jail for life. Nice free country, eh? Oh how I love America.
I got to go now, my brother is barfing and I guess he's really sick.

Yes, let us all complain about a free educational system we are so lucky to have because we will find alternative ways to gain knowledge such as through the gutters or Del Taco.
Through school, you also gain people skills, you certainly will not ace that job application without them.
