Whoa, all the sudden like everywhere caught fire.
It's crazy.

But I live in a suburban colony
No dry brush by me.

Like everyone's house is on fire.
There's even a fire by my old house. :(

Well atleast I don't have to go to school.
Quoted from my mom:

I'm not going out in that **** tomorrow.

All other forumers from California, hope your
house survives.
Questions?

Sorry to hear that. Are there large amounts of forest fires?

No, just brushfires everywhere. Also one or two weeks ago out is Southern California a gas truck(I think it was that) blew up on a freeway tunnel making it imossible to get on the freeway!LOL I remember last year our teacher told us that in hundreds of years California's fault lines will be SOOO big that California will break off from the United States!

Man, last night was creepy, it was so windy and stuff.
I woke up this morning and had to clean my pool which was
pretty much full of dirt.

Our power went off last night and just came on right now. :)

But look on the bright side!

Good thing you had your power on, I wouldnt survive without electricity.;)

Phenom

Ya, there was nothing to do without the power on.
I hope I don't die, but I think this is God's way of getting mad
at people who take life for granted. Cough cough* MALIBU* cough cough.

I wish you could move right now to somewhere better! The fires are very bad. What caused them? Pollution?

Phenom
22 October 2007, 07:14 PM
No, actually this is fire season and the whole state was expecting it to be a bad on.
I like it here and wouldn't want to move. It's just it caught everyone by suprise.
It is actually caused by both dry brush and strong santa ana winds.

One thing leads to another and pretty soon you have
95,000 acres burnt.

In Malibu the fire destroyed a landmark castle and a famous church.
The closest fire to me is about 7 miles away. But like I said before, I'm packed in the middle
of all these houses so it's not like my house would burn.

I thought forest fires in California only happened in during summer when it's like hot and dry...

EDIT: Just read the post above this one....nvm.....

Ya, but in the summer there's no wind. :D
We borrowed some superscoopers from Quebec.

I think it's kind of scary. In third period it was so much smoke in seemed like the sun was setting. And by the time the 5th period came I couldn't even breathe(I have asthma) so I was kind of scared. I thought I was going to have a asthma attack!

My grandma's having a panic attack.

I heard about it. A lot of celebritys are being evacuated from their houses/mansions. I feel bad for all those firefighters out there trying to put out an uncontrollable fire.

Somethings weird here in Texas though. It normally doesn't get really cold until about November. Right now its 38 degrees...

Your one grim son of a gun aren't you?
I think our firefighters wouldn't let that happen.
Although we are due for a good shaker I think now is not
the time it will happen.

Well tomorrow is when all three of the fires will fuse into one
supergiant fire.

And San Diego, many of your remember the forumer named
Viper9107 or something like that, there's a good chance his house was destroyed.

Right now alot of people don't care about it.

I mean 2 full days of coverage is a little much.
Only those effected care.

Over here there has been a rather noticeable cloud of debris for the past couple of days, and the Santa Ana winds always make me sick (literally). It's been known that some fires would start due to the wind, and guess what, they happened.

Earlier this year, here in Florida, fires were burning in the Okeffenoke, which is a swamp between Florida and Georgia, and all of the smoke was carried down to the Central Florida, and made the air quality horrible. No one was injured, but visibilaty was reduded to zero, and smoke filled the interior of buildings.
