Well lying is supposed to be against clubpenguin rules and you can get banned for it , but what if you were in these situations, does it still class as lying?
1. When you say Rockhopper at the dock when he isn't
2. Saying something like theres a secret tunnel behind the stove in the pizza parlour as a joke
3. Saying the pin is at the beach when it is at the dojo
4. Saying if you play a certain games a certain number of time u get an item e.g. if u play jetpack 10 times you get a jetpack
5. Last of all saying theres a secret room and you've been there when there isn't
it would help if u answered like this for example.
1. no
2. no
3. yes
4.yes
5. not sure
(just an example)
thanks

I doubt you can get banned for lying, besides the whole reporting thing never seems to work for stuff like "lying" "blocking doors" and things like that, it just adds them to your ignore list, the only things that get people banned are swearing or hacking and thats automatically. And maybe offensive words that have gone through the filter that someone reported for

First of all, I suspect you have done those lies yourself.
Anyway, they are all just a joke. Or they might just say it by mistake.

Its probably everyone does that for a joke. I mean, you CAN get banned for saying "follow for the golden puffle!!!" and loads of penguins followyou and then you say "tricked you!!!" that would be a ban.

Perhaps this should be in the support forum? Anyway, I've listed my answers here. Keep in mind that it what I say aren't rules, just a layout. Furthermore, if you say something and it is not true, so long as you thought that what you said was true, you should be pardoned, regardless of what you said (within the realms of forgiveness).
1. I'd say that saying that Rockhopper is at the Dock when he isn't can be either acceptable or considered rude. If you're doing it as an educated joke, and you know that it is something that the person will not take personally, then I believe it's fine. However, if you were lying to simply remove the person from the room out of spite, or because the room is slowing your computer down, then I think that the act is selfish and unacceptable.
2. Thank you for mentioning that this action was quoted as a joke; if not, it could be simply malicious, which is, as above, not acceptable. However, even as a joke, check whether the person will take it to heart: some people really have their hopes up of seeing something like this, and having them smashed again and again is certainly not good for their morale.
3. This question can be answered just like Question 1. If you told the victim that the pin was in the wrong place, and you were simply trying to annoy them or send them on a wild goosechase, then this behaviour is wrong. However, if you simply told them that as a joke, it may be accepted. If you wish to tell them this as temporary reassurance, I suggest that you refrain from doing so, since they will lose trust in you after they figure out that you lied to them.
4. This is the first and only one of your questions where my answer does not vary, regardless of the case, situation or reason that you did the statement. Not everybody finds it easy to complete Jet Pack, and those who don't will struggle immensely to reach the point at which they will 'receive their reward'. Even for the veterans, completing the game ten times for nothing is not something they will enjoy doing. Unless the gamer planned on playing Jet Pack ten times anyway, this action is classed as hopelessly mean.
5. I think that this is pretty much acceptable, since it does not involve much trouble at all to get into 'the secret room' in the Dojo. Boasting about this to players who have high hopes of finding it, but don't even known where the Dojo is, is not very nice, but can be accepted in some cases. Still, since you are not even recommending entrance to the secret room, I think that this is acceptable within reason.
I hope I've been of a good help,
Game Lord

No, for clarification I'd like to point out that none of the actions mentioned are necessarily true.
Yours sincerely,
