Given a choice, if there was one language you could learn, what would it be? I would want to learn French, because it's the second most common language spoken in the world (according to what my teacher said).
Currently, I only know a few words of Italian, Portuguese and French. I learned those few words mainly through online translators, but online translators ain't reliable for translating complete sentences, hence, I can't phrase words together properly.

Your teacher was wrong. French is the tenth most spoken language in the world. Anyways I've been taking French for the past rwo years, so that would be the other language I would learn.

Dutch. A.K.A. Netherlands. My grandpa spoke it and I was born in a town where they celebrated this thing we call Tulip Time (Dutch festival.) and they got these dancers from these high schools and put them in wooden shoes and these really wierd dresses, and they dance like all over. And yeah, I know it sounds a little wierd but it's really not that wierd. They still do it every year. Oh, yeah, and I'm half dutch.

I have been learning Irish for the past 9 years but the way the schools teach it isn't very good. For example my class learned the endings for the aimsir caite,láithreach & fháistineach(past, present & future) 6 years ago and do them EVERY year yet we still don't know them. Hopefully when I finish school in 3 years I will know Irish and always be able to conjugate it. So yeh Irish cause I'm still bad at it:shout:.

I already talk Portuguese, Spanish, French and English.
Next year I'm gonna have to choose between learning a new language, German or Italian, or improving my Spanish (or not doing anything at all:P)
I'm leaning towards learning German but Spanish is being taken in high consideration these days, I'll see what I chose when the time comes.

I only know English, and a little bit of Italian and Chinese. I don't really want to learn another language, but if I had to choose I would do Spanish or something like that.

I am taking Spanish because it is slowly but surely becoming a dominating language here on the west coast. If I were to learn a language for any other miscellanious reason, I would take Japanese.

Since I've been forced to learn French in school for the last 5 years, I will not consider it to be a language that I want to learn.
I want to learn Italian or Japanese.

Believe me, you don't want to learn French. French is horrible. :)

Le francais est facile. Le latin est plus difficile que le francais.
I wouldn't want to learn any language really, perhaps more Latin if anything. French just gets boring after a while.

Well, I am taking French, and it is very...entertaining.
If I had to pick a language that I do not know at the moment, I would pick Italien or Polish (I am 50% Polish).
I take it I can't vote for French?
