Are you "popular" at your school? I'm not a social outcast but I'm not really popular but I have like 6 people atleast I know are my friends and like 5 others that are my friends but not great ones. And like 30 people who are kinda my friend. You?

It may be that my mother pulled me out of school too young and I didn't get my social skills but I'm really really shy. Therefore, I rarely speak to people my own age, which brings a little tear to my eye.

I only have 3 friends a school. One of them is a really good friend, one is an o.k.ish, and one has been gone for a while dealing with an "issue" that nobody knows what it is.

Part of the reason is that I never learned how to approach anybody, except for the people that approached me.

I am mildly popular (contrary to what a lot of people here will be under the assumption of, I do have friends:P) but it does not bother me in the slightest. I do not care about popularity, for I know that as long as I have a good set of friends, that is all I require. Labels mean nothing.

Im not popular I only hang around with my two best mates, they are the best mates ever we laugh nearly everyday, and joke about each other but that doesn't effect out friendship, it just makes us all laugh, plus we are the loudest in the dinning hall. Here's a funny story:

When I was in grade 4 my class was playing dodgeball. We used mats as walls, (so we could hide behind them), and one of the popular kids in my school was like "Can one of the walls be for the popular kids and the other ones for the geeks?"

No. I have like three close friends (and two of them are in none of my classes; one's in all of my classes except one). It's not like I'm a complete out-cast or something, I talk to lots of people who I could safely say aren't my friends, but we never 'hit it off'.

I'd have more friends, but half of Elementary School when I saw little, I never talked to anybody. Not until like I was 9ish I had actual good conversations with people. So if I was more social back then, I would've had a big circle of friends. :| I don't have any actual friends here either, yet.

It's a lame stereotype that if you become popular, your life is ruined. I'm a popular guy at my school, my friends have been my friends since we were kids, and I've met new friends as I've grown up. Just because you're popular, doesn't mean you don't have real friends.

There is nothing such as this "popularity." Each and everyone of you is popular into your own group. If you emo, you're popular in the emo group. If your athletic, you're popular with the athletic group and so on. So it's not best to think someone is popular because they are pretty or the best football player, etc. Everyone is popular in there own way.

There's 1,300 kids at my school. Only about 150 know me and/or are my friends. I'm popular in my class, everybody is my friend in my class. (Not counting three or four people) So because there's so many kids in my school I don't think I'm so popular..
