Ya I have alot of those too, I just study at the last minute.
If your really down over tests then think of it this way:
If you pass or fail, you'll still be the same......
I helps me, unless your parents are pyscho it's true.
Don't sweat it too much or else it will ruin your school year
and looking back you'll only remember stress.

Well, do what I do, and not study. Jk. Dont force yourself to study. Study when you feel its right, or just study for 40 to 50 minutes each day until the test. Dont get stressed over something like that. Its just a test. There will be billions of those over the next few years.

What kind of school are you in? High school? College?
I'm in college now, and what I do, even though it sounds boring, is to always keep up with the reading. Skim it if I absolutely HAVE TO, but at least make an effort to read the materials so I can understand the basics (and then make up stuff for an essay and at least sound smart).
If you take notes in class, go over those, and if you take bad notes make sure you are only writing down the IMPORTANT stuff. If the teacher keeps talking about a certain thing over and over again you can bet it will be on a test.
Use the review sheets, even if they suck. They narrow down everything and only present what will be on the test.
And don't sleep in class. :P Even if you're bored stiff, if you're awake you are listening to some extent.

School is boring, well maybe not but the tests are rubbish. I really dont like them. Though I have to study hard for it or I fail then i'll get kicked out to reception(kindagarten)

I usually do any revision and such at the last second.
No point doing it before hand as you'll only be stressing yourself to remember it and most likely forget the main things. If you do it at the last possible second it's fresh in your mind.

Media Comm / Journalism.
I chose that over Herpetology on the sole fact that there would be more job opportunities.

I read in an Exam Smart Guide that it's good to take a strong sweet before an exam or test begins, though I don't know how true that is. But it doesn't matter. Anyway. Or at least it does not matter for me. We're not even allowed to bring sweets to school. I got scolded umpteen times for eating sweets during lesson time... oh well.
Yeah, tests are truly stressing. My exams are just round the corner and I won't be coming online all that often because I've gotta study. Study, study and study. It's so much memory work and it's murdering so many of my brain cells...

Pay attention in class. It will help you a lot. Understand everything just not the main things. Ask your teachers questions, that usually will tell them your not understanding whats going on.
Also take notes, it may be boring but trust me, it sure will come in handy.

A college is like a University except you live there permantly.
Anyways there is this booklet which my school gives around January to study for exams. I find that it is very helpful. Some sugestions are
-study in a cool room to stay awake
-study your notes if you made any
-re-write your notes so you can remember them easly
-if a teacher says something more than once it is important and will most likely be on a test
-study for the test about 20 mintues each day(only if the test is a week away)
-don't study with music since it might not be allowed in the class room
*If taking and exam*
-Take a 15 mintue break after 1 hour of studying

Remember its important to take regular breaks while studying. If you stare at your notes for too long, your mind begins to wonder. Study for half an hour and then take a break for 10 or 15 minutes - get a drink, a bite to eat, whatever.

I don't live at the campus, I drive there from my house. Takes about 45 minutes most days.
It's just like regular school, except you don't go for as many days, you can pick your classes, and you have to buy your own books, they don't give them to you.
Plus it costs a lot of money.

I had a 75 average in Math (after two quizzes) so I bet Joey L. $5 I'd get less than an 80 on the test...I got a 94...and I had JUST gone shopping the night before :|

I hate tests. They are just another invention made to torcher us.:P
I have 2 a week (Math and French), and at the end of the year I have 5 in one week.
Right now I have gotten about 95% on both math tests and about 90% in the French tests.

Ughh As much as I HATE to say this along with my teachers that I hate, study and pay attention. Plus if you pay alot of attention vlass there might be no reason to study. Btw, is it a BIG test like the CAT, in Florida its FCat, study, like it or not, without achool, you couldnt forum, play games or even watch tv!!!! Do it and get a good career.

Well... The worst thing to do is stress; it's harder to retain information when you are stressed. The best thing to do would be to NOT procrastinate. Also when in class, pay attention to lectures and take notes if you have to. Finally, eat lots of fruits and vegies so you have energy to learn. Believe it or not, learning is an arduous process.
Oh, a quick tip. Never study anything before an hour going to bed. You will lose that information and likely mix it up with other things during the test. Don't forget to get good sleep too! Hope this helps Balth. :)

Really? I always do that, and I thought it helps all along. Then where did the good scores come from then?
:D
Thanks for the tip!

You must study hard until you are good enough to write a good test! ;)

This works for Middle School and High School:
My tip for you is to get to your class quickly as soon as the bell rings. When you get to that class, automatically, pick up something to study and STUDY. I always do this and I pass. If you didn't get enough time and still can't remember something then either do the following:
1. Write on the desk lightly. (With a pencil since black is easier to read. This is also good for erasing it at the end.)
2. Take out your iPod. If you made a Study Guide for it on the Notes tab use it for cheating. Works only 64% of the time because the teacher may catch you. It will work 80% of the time if you took the headphones off and you have a really small iPod. (Also take of the clicker sound.)
3. Write on your hand lightly with a pen. If you write with your right hand, then write the words on the left so when it looks like your covering your paper with the left hand, your actually cheating. Works like a charm.
There's more, but I will then write an essay. Good luck.

Hmm... School, what that be?
Just kidding. I've never had to stress about school, I was only in school in kindergarten and then I dropped out because I was too cool for those tots. :P I don't think I did any real homework in the first ten years of my life, my dad worked, my mom worked, my brother made sure I did jump out of a plate glass window, I read a lot. That's basically it. I've been home schooled the better portion of my life. Stress free, baby! =D Don't get me wrong, now I have to do homework otherwise I won't be able to-wait what am I gonna do again? 0_o
