Don't you think it's a bit unfair, that you have to be a meber in club penguin to be able to buy allmost everything. I mean there are tons of ways to get coins but you can barely use them because your not a member. It would be nice if non-members could buy more things then they have acces to right now.:(-_-

Yes, it is fair. I'm a non-member, and I know that members make the game by paying the 5 dollars a month. The reason?: Club penguin does not use sponsors for money. Plus non-members usually eventually become members, which is when you get to spend all thos coins on a shopping spree. Be thanksful club penguin even has a non-membership option that's actually fun.

Also Non-members get atleast 1 piece of clothing a month ;)

So in conclusion, Non-members have nothing to complain about.

I don't really want to sound like a goodie-goodie, becuase I'm not. But you guys were being a little harsh. I mean he just joined these forums, and how would you feel if you asked what other people thought and someone gave you a response like, "Get over it noob!". I wouldn't like that. Just the other day someone said how nice everyone on these forums were, and look at this.....

I think it is completly fair to have to pay to get clothes, make igloos, and a bit more on Club Penguin.
Non-members do not get to do much, but they do get their fair share at the parties with free items.

Also, without any paying players, Club Penguin would be what it is now. It can not run without any money.

I feel your anger, I really do. But if you really think about it, its not at all un-fair to non-members. Did you ever wonder how the Club Penguin developers and their staff make money? They make it from the membership fees. They don't need money to make the game better, they originally had all the software they needed, with the exception of the server improvements. All they needed were more staff and developers to ease off the stress of the deadlines they faced.

If there were no memberships, Club Penguin wouldn't be what it is today. The parties wouldn't be as good as they are now, less items. You see, members and memberships are what actually keep the game alive, and fresh. Non-members don't get to buy items, and decorate their igloos like members because really, they in no way help the game other than telling their friends about it and provide ideas and suggestions for the game. And just for that, the Club Penguin team gives Non-Members full access to Pins, Games, All the Rooms, Colors, Postcards, Same # of friends as Members, Use of the map, Access to parties, Free items given away, and much more.

A lot, no? Next time think before you go on a rage about the game being "un-fair" to non-members.

You have to understand that it's a business. They entertain us, and we pay them. Plus, the site is ad free thanks to memberships. Really, I don't see the problem. Many people get upset about this, but it's fair.

I'm a Non-Member but I still think it's fair because members pay $5.00 a month to be able to buy clothes. If you want to be able to buy more clothes just pay $5.00.

Non-member and members are the same. They are all penguin. The only difference is that members pay 5 bucks. I think it is fair that members get more stuff. What I don't get is having and igloo. I mean you can't even buy furniture or igloo music or flooring if your a non-member and that's the only thing that sort of bugs me....

This is EXACTLY why i like RuneScape better. Member and Non member worlds. Anyone can buy things, and more things to do! But cp basicly runs of membership mula and nothing else, but you know, since there w/ Disney, they kinda got some $$$ comin torwards them...

Perfectly 100% fair. Non-Members are lucky they get to play for as long as they want for free. Why do you think we pay for the membership? For the extra features, and to put money towards parties and items for the non-members.

These threads are getting annoying, and serve no use to anybody.

I'm don't want to be rude but quite frankly life isn't fair, and as you grow up you are going to have to get use to that.

But you have to accept the fact that CP needs the money to function that members provide. You should be thankful that CP allows for nonmember play at all. and being a nonmember now is no where near as tough as it use to be. You use to get like one item a month and it was almost always a hat, and there were NO pins and NO backgrounds. Look at all the items you just got at the Fall Fair!

The longer you stay a nonmember the more clothing you get so if you are unhappy now just keep your account active and you will have an entire wardrobe in a couple months. My nonmember penguins have so much clothing they are often mistaken for members.

Be happy with what you have.
