The Virtual Console is an addition you can get on the wii shop channel, it has a lot of retro games, most of which you can buy for for as little as 4 dollars(1c = 1 wii point)

You get shop points by buying them on the wii or getting a shop card which has a certain about of wii points(its liek a gift card you get for chrismas,cept with wii points)

Virtual console consists of favorite games that everyone likes such as orchina of time,super Mario world, Kid Icarus, and other games

Putty5: Super Mario World

Super Mario World is a great platformer game that never gets old,the goal of the game is to save Yoshi's friends from the Koopalings and Bowser.You get many cool abilities(I like the cape) and can ride on 4 colors of Yoshi, which have diffrent abilities.There are many levels to unlock including The Star World(there is something past the Star World but I won't spoil).Super Mario World has influenced many other things such as teh Super Mario World cartoon,and the creation of Mama Luigi.

I rate this a 9/10

right now I want to get Yoshi's story SO bad,but i cnat use the wii since i am moving the tv downstairs,ocne it is down there,i will be abl to list the prices and whats new possibly...


I LOVE the virtual console feature on the Wii. Being to play my favorite oldies without going through the hassle of taking out old consoles and games makes me feel happy inside. :)

Offtopic: Do you know if the first Paper Mario is on it yet? I can't seem to find it.

Actually that is an emulator which you download on a computer. It is technically illegal and is totally different. Plus this is VIRTUAL console, not visual. o.O

They jacked up the cost of Genesis games from $6 to $8. Rip off, especially considering they really are just releasing utter crud in terms of games. They have only put up very few decent titles.

They really need to LISTEN to what players want. People have been demanding Earthbound for (SNES) for almost a YEAR now, and what do you know, no Earthbound. Come on, it was made by HAL Laboratory, you host their Kirby games, now make with the Ness-age. :mad:

(I don't own a Wii but I do enjoy mooching off of my buddy who frivolusly spends his money on Wii VC titles.)

EDIT: And $8 for Earthbound is a GREAT DEAL considering it sells on eBay for over $50.

Why would they do such a stupid thing? Mother 3 was never released in the states and no casual fan knows what it is. They want Earthbound/Mother 1.

Then again I don't blame them. We're talking about a company who revolutionized gaming and then effectively killed themselves by making a console were all you do is furiously swing your remote at the television screen to move.

Back at Nsider,half of the signatures said "BRING BACK MOTHER 1 2 AND 3" so i'm sure they know of it,alot of nsiders knew about stuff like that.

I can't say I like the 360 or PS3 either. The PS3 will effectively render you "poor" for the rest of the year and the 360 is likely to overheat and explode in your house.

Actually, while the retro remote itself is quite slippery in terms of controls for NES games (noticed this in SMB), it works quite well for all the other titles, and the Wiimote works perfectly for NES games. :P

And you are indeed correct about the PS3 and 360.

Are you talking about Brawl's inclusion of Lucas? If so, then I don't agree considering SSB's history. I mean, did casual fans have any idea who Marth from FE was, did they know G&W, or the Ice Climbers? I don't think so. Sakurai (the guy who's making Brawl happen) wants the characters that make you say "huh?".

Half the fun is getting those characters that nobody knows anymore. Plus, look at FE, didn't Melee increase it's popularity in the states? Japaneese-only characters are good.

The Big N probably thinks their games are pure gold so if they were to price it on how much they think they are now.. well then, it'd be the same price as it is now. :P The retro games they had for N64, NES aren't distributed to stores anymore, so maybe they just lost track of prices.

Or the more logical thing to say is they just want more money. Their system is only $250!
