Anyone hear of it? It's a very popular Sonic fan-game, made off of the QUAKEngine. (I think...)

Website: http://www.srb2.org

Mac version (link isn't on site):http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/21782

The Mac version also is only about 95% complete. Not a big deal, but just so you know.

There are several add ons. And you CAN be shadow. (But it's just basically a recoloring of Super Sonic...)

go to: srb2.org

addons>character WADs
(Yes, Mac users CAN download these)

How to activate the .wads:

drag the .wad into the srb2 folder. And then start the game (sonic robo blast 2)
When at the title screen, BEFORE you hit enter or something, press the "`" or "~" key on your keyboard. The game's actual code comes up. Now type in the following:

ADDFILE (file name goes here, without parentheses)

Then press "`" or "~" again, and start playing!

It has about 3 levels, with 3 acts each. However, different character can access different parts of these levels.

You can also download levels here:

And you can also download characters! OH BOY!!1!!11111!!

This actually looks like it was made off the Doom 1 Engine, not the Quake engine.

One question: How do you jump?

Wasn't the Doom 1 engine the Quake engine?

To jump, press the "/" key. Or, you can go into the pause menu>options>controls>player 1
and set up the control scheme there.

I made the jump be the space bar, 'cause that's what I expected it to be.

NOT!!!!!SRB2 has been in the making for 11 years.Dragonfable, sucks crap unless you pay.SRB2 was made off of the DooM engine.AND its multiplayer. You can also chat ingame which Dragonfable will NEVER be able to do!Also, there are like 20 game types and you can make characters and stages.for one,I agree that this game, beats Dragonfable by alot.ALSO,it has been mentioned in TONS of gaming magazines according to the site.while Dragonfable,is just a cruddy flash application.

I want to warn you that OSX build is a pain to deal with. The application will do anything it can to keep your mouse cursor inside the window and this can get really annoying. I don't remember the Windows build being so annoying.

The game is pretty good, but the hit detection is a little strange and the frame rate seems to peak at about 20 FPS regardless of your settings or hardware. The gameplay is still fun despite these problems though.
