mine has the red ring. it happend to me 4 weeks ago. microsoft is sending it back to me this week! YAY IM SO EXCITED!

Mine Stayed Green But it flashes with only 3/4 of the lights working:( basically 3/4 is 3 outta the 4 light things or more than half:D yay you learned:P

I know a lot of people that this has happened too, but luckily my Xbox 360 is more reliable than I expected it to be.

Lol. If yours has the red rings I would suggest the towel treatment. (If you don't know what it is, google it.) I heard it works great. Or just mail you xbox to microsoft and they should fix it. I think?

Yes.
I got mine back when they first came out, after about a year it got the "Red Lights of Doom".
I sent it to Microsoft, got it back two weeks later, still didn't work.
Sent it back again, got it back around three weeks later, and it worked this time. :)

That happened to mine a while ago, but it was probably because it wasn't getting enough power, seeing as it was in my van. xD

Mine only gets the red ring when I open the thing to put in the game first, not the console.

Well my brother has one, but I have never seen it happen to his. If it does though I'll come to this thread and edit my post.

No, my new Xbox 360 Elite nor my old Xbox 360 have not had the red ring of death befallen upon them. I read about this in the latest GI(Game Informer). Microsoft is repairing this malfunction for free, but all other warranty regulations apply normally.

Yes. I had the 3 blinking lights of the red ring. I had just got it off ebay September 2nd.
Then I went to Wal-Mart. Got a new one. Switched the codes of the X-boxs' and kept the one from Wal-Mart.
