Tiny Little Problem, maybe big, help please

I got a tiny little problem in gm. I got everything ready, all the sprites and stuff. Now when i put it on a demo, i cant move the guy with my keyboard. Can anyone please post some screenies on how to make my guy move with the arrow keys? Im using Game Maker Pro 7.

Make the sprite and object then go to events pick keyboard then pick up,left,down,or right.Which everyone you want first.Then on the side where is says move,drag the red arrows click left if you put the keyboard left and then pick the speed.

1. Add Event- Key Press Left- Drag the red button with the arrows on it over. Click the left arrow after you've dragged it and where it says "Speed," type a number 1-20.

2. Add Event- Key Release Left- Drag the red arrow button over again. After this, click the button in the middle of the arrows. No need to type in a speed here.

3. Repeat with right, up, and down.
