i dont get what the big deal about having ubers in your team is!
just because they have high stats dosent mean you dont have skill!
maybe your favorite pokemon is an uber and people make fun of having it in your team!

An uber is a legendary, event, or, apparently, Wobbuffet. Don't know why Wobbuffet is in there.

Well, I still support this because it's still ridiculous. These pokemon are there to be battled with, not sit around looking pretty in your box. Well, okay, I collect them to look pretty in my box :P:D ; but other people shouldn't be forced to not use them if they want to use them.

Wow. You guys don't know what an uber is? :O
An uber is a Pokemon that has exceptionally high stats, an exceptionally wide movepool, or does exceptionally good with moves. Or all three of those.
An uber does not mean any legendary or event Pokemon. Celebi isn't even an uber due to its typing. A Grass - Psychic type like Celebi has total of -- you're ready? 7 weaknesses. Jirachi isn't an uber due to its minimized movepool. Manaphy is also not an uber due to the previous reason, too.

Look. Ubers show you have no skill what-so-ever. If you kids want to fight with a hacked uber that no one likes, go ahead and be called a 'sissy'. EV train a poke. It shows a lot more skill than using 'the best' ubers in the game.
I am with Lines.
Afraid to 'loose'? Ok, Pj, you have seriously pushed it. How old are you? I doubt 13. You act like a 9-year old.

Okay, look. I've seen the aftermath of these battles. I've seen how many people complain and whine like little children that they lost because someone so-called cheated even with a perfectly legit Uber.
Granted, I'm not exactly clear as to what an Uber is. That seems to be a term that is defined differently by different people.
Granted, I don't know how to EV train. Every time I try to battle my Charizard against a Gastly to raise his Special Attack stat better, it never seems to give me more than two despite the fact that I battled enough Gastlies to give me four stats.
But I do know a sore loser when I see one. I battle my brother. Sometimes I win. Sometimes I lose. I don't usually like using Ubers because...well, they don't tend to be the cute pokemon. (So sue me.) But I take my loss and my win in stride. I don't whine that my brother used Groudon, which he caught in the game by himself without a hack, against me. I chose my pokemon. I could have grabbed an Uber, too; but I chose not to. That's my problem, not his.
I, personally, think that it still takes skill even with Ubers in your party because a badly utilized Uber is still one that will lose.
Instead of whining about how your opponent used an Uber or restricting Ubers because you don't want to lose, why don't you find ways to defeat Ubers and take pride in the fact that your opponent used an Uber, yet you still defeated him.
I think that's the higher path to take.
EDIT
One example is when a couple of guys kept telling Emma to use Blissey instead of Shuckle as a wall even though they didn't really know what she wanted the Shuckle for. Well, I say that if I use a Shuckle instead of Blissey and lose that it's unfair because you used Pokemon that had higher base stats and better moves.
Why don't you prove how skilled you are by using a Shuckle instead of Blissey. I ban Blissey because of its high stats and huge movepool in comparison to Shuckle. It gives Blissey users an unfair advantage. So I ban it and any other pokemon that are more powerful than Shuckle.
That's about as much sense as it makes.

Ban Blissey? She's as legit as I can possibly imagine.
Also, go on Marriland's forums and you will see millions of people banning ubers. :P
Why? Because it's unfair if you lost to an uber.
JuneBelle, you make a good point by saying that some people can't use ubers effectively because they can't exploit their moves quite as well or they don't EV train.
But, there are people who can. I'm sure Lines and Hi could. Many people on the Marriland forums can.

EV's, Breeding, egg moves, Natures, IV's, Walls, sweepers. I'm willing to bet half of you who want to use ubers don't know the first thing about egg moves. ;)

In case you didn't get it from reading this, that is a parody, a sort of metaphor to put things into prespective. I'm not actually serious. By the way, Blissey may or may not be legit. You never know. Besides, would you allow a perfectly legit Uber?
Both of you seriously need to go back and read what I wrote because your counter is as weak as can be. Zelrio's wasn't even a counter at all.
So what if many people ban Ubers on Marriland. It's because they are too scared to go up against an Uber, period. There is no other reason.
Yes, I know full well that Lines could train a great Uber. That's what he should do. No one here thinks that Lines shouldn't train an Uber. Either that, or figure out ways to beat Ubers using normal Pokemon and take pride in that fact.
Zelrio, I know all about egg moves. I've bred many Pokemon with egg moves.

Heracross is perfect for countering a Blissey. Blissey's base attack and defense are 10. Heracross could take it out with a single Close Combat. You think all of it's stats are high because it has 255 base HP.
Besides, would you allow a perfectly legit Uber?

You are wrong. People rely behind the power of ubers because they want to get cheap wins. You think it's fair to go up against a team of 6 wobuffet, if you don't have a ghost type with a normal attack on it (which no one has)? You are scared to fight a fair battle, not the other way around.

??? I'm not sure why you talk about caring about the online world. You post in a thread taunting people about how stupid they are and how unfair it is that people don't battle "fairly", yet you say you don't care about the online world...
Okay.
Yep, you're right. I didn't get that joke. I'm sure everyone else didn't get it either because it sounded like an irrevelevant comment interjected to annoy, especially since you had quoted my entire post just to say that and had just called everyone here an idiot.

*sigh* Did I say that people didn't rely on the power of Ubers?
No.
I didn't.
But I'm tired of people restricting Pokemon that they are afraid of. I thought getting the Pokemon with the best stats, moves, and types was part of the process of building a great team and part of the skill of people knowledgeable in this. That's why one should pick a Sceptile instead of a Torterra.
Now, suddenly, people are restricting the best Pokemon. Why? Because they don't want to bother getting an Uber, too.
You're right. I've never been up against 6 Wobuffet. Is it fair? Well, I'm not sure. I guess it's a pretty ingenious way to battle. I hadn't thought of such a thing before; but the simple remedy is to require a team to have no more than one of each pokemon on a team, not to ban Ubers. That's extreme.

Lol, me? Afraid to lose? Of course if I go up against somebody with ubers, I have my doubts on winning, but I have tons of counters for ubers.
Namely....
Ninjask BP into Porygon-Z with Specs and Anticipation. Tri Attack will pwn all legendaries.
Giratina dies to Garchomp w/ lefties and sub. (Lol Dragon Claw)
Heatran and Dialga die to EQ from Garchomp
The only three that can't be countered by Specsjask-Z are countered by ninchomp. Even IPQ.
The only reason I restrict them is because I want a fair game!
WHO WANTS TO FIGHT AN ARCEUS WITH SOMETHING THAT IS NO MATCH FOR IT!?
Namely, Uber>OU.
720 and 120 in every stat greater than 600 and highest stat 108. lol.
