I'm sure you have all done this. You see a penguin who owns a blog with a lot of hits, stats, whatever. You join a crowd of obsessive penguins around him/her. Saying"CAN I BE YOUR BUDDY!!" Or" ADD ME!!" And sending them 100 buddy requests a second. Well, this makes you just as bad as a hacker. obsessing over famous penguins, well, you don't really like them. Its like collecting trading cards. You want to meet them all, and get as many on your buddy list as you can. Well, this my friend, is not right. What do you gain out of all this? A person on your buddy list who will just delete you anyway. It doesn't make any sense. Hang out with your friends, and be yourself. Don't even try to add any famous penguins because, how many people will know anyway. Just hang out with your friends, and be yourself. You dot need a wordpress or piczo blog to be cool in your friends eyes. These famous penguins with the rare beta hats and the good blogs, are just people sitting at their computer, just like you. And, the bloggers who you obsess over, are posers. posers who inform you of things on cp when you most likely already know. Posers who compete for hits, and nothing more. posers who want to be POPULAR. Well, even if I have only gotten to 2 or 3 of you, thats two or three more people who will live a fun cp life, and not obsess over famous people. Thanks for reading.

When I was a newbie, I collected(At least tried.) to get famous penguins on my buddy list. I remmber crowding some penguins, but I have learned that is not a good thing to add to Club Penguin. Popularity is bad, and you shouldn't obsess over "famous' penguins just because they have old and rare items. IAAF's thread on this should provide related to the subject. Popularity, the new uncool. i only add people if they are from tese forums or people that are nice too me.
But when there is a beta everyone crouwds around him or her and if I know them I say hey and the beta replys back and then everyone tells me 'How do you know him!?
Its just funny what people will do to be a beta persons buddy like i seen people do this:

When I first joined CP in April of 2006, I had absolutely no idea about beta testers or popular penguins. A few months into the game, I began seeing beta testers and people who wore the ghost sheet more often. I used to think they were special, like some sorts of God's. I basically worshipped, (and I'm sure other forumers used to as well) people who had these "cool" and "rare" items. But the more and more times I played the game, the more I began to notice that they weren't God's or "all that", but just regular kids with pixilized items. I think the penguins who are famous have earnt their fame, not by their rare items, but by the effort they have put into their blogs or forums or whatever they have done. Remember to gain respect you must earn it.
