I think its easier to read than the usernames on MiniClip, especially people on here who have bad eyesight or read disabilities it makes the letters reconizable. :)

I don't think it really matters.

When someone joins a forum they don't think, How Big is the Username?, they think about the community, simple appearance, spam and leaders.

This may seem funny but maybe not. Since the names are underlined, It's caught my eye a few times looking as If someone was banned. The underlining is really getting at me under the names
