it is for events by nintendo,you download upgrades like obtaining darkrai at the hotel

also you can buy stuff in PBR and download them to DS

Dont you use Connect to Wii to do that? No. This is in the old games, like Pokemon ruby, before Wii was even thought of. I think it's what Putty said.
