I happen to have both of them.
And i would say they're just as good as each orther because they both offer somthing different. For example the psp can be used as a media device where as the Ds has the brilliant touch screen.

Well ive had my psp since the day it came out in england and its worked perfectly fine for almost 3 years.

I picked the DS, it really matters what games you like, and I like platformers(DS), not action and sports(PSP).

It doesn't matter if its fragile, just take care of it and it works great, I store my PSP in a hard case. ive dropped it like twice, but its still okay

The psp isnt really good for traveling becasue when your on the road the sun reflects on it and you cant even see the screen. But at night time its awsome.. Whenmy family and I drove to Las Vegas I watch some moveis on it.... I have 1.. And I love it.. I really do.. I have seen the ds and its really for children like 8 or 9.. Its the next stage of gaming.. Underthat is the Gameboy.. My brother is going to be 5 in Oct.. So I am buying him a White Ds...:)

Where do you get that thought, it being for younguns? Come on, everybody loves Mario, and you can't play that on a PSP.

I think the DS is better because with the new Lite its easier to carry around. Also with some games it offers teh Wi-Fi feature so you can battle with people all acros the world! The PSP may have the graphics but the DS has the faveorites like: Mario, Pokemon, Metroid Hunter, and much much more. I picked the DS

Ya. I agree completely agree with you. I like the PSP way more than DS for all of hte reasons you just posted. I think that the DS games are fun for the first couple of times playing them, but after that they just get boring. The storyline on most of the DS games are pretty short too. The PSP has better games and way more features than the DS.

Just because it's rated E doesn't mean it's childish. I personally hate shooters and all of those games, while Mario, Rayman, and assorted platformers are my favorites.

Well does it matter if teh games are chilidish and always rate E like Lib said. I mean personally i like shooting games but after a wile thye get boring because all you o is go around shooting people for being a pedestrian and walking on ur new Timberland boots. Even though PSP games have better story lines, DS games are more fun. And plus it getting even better. I read on IGN.com Smackdown Vs. Raw 08 is coming to DS. hooray!

DS for me, I play a lot of games on it. There are so many titles that make good use of the touch screen and increase how fun they are to play (like Trace Memory). I get together with friends on weekends and some weeknights and we spend hours playing multiplayer Tetris, MarioKart, and Bomberman. The DS has definitely paid for itself as far as entertainment value and hours spent playing goes. I don't really care to watch videos on a portable unit, so I suppose if I was more into that I might think differently (although I would probably just watch them on my iPod). I remember when I went to PAX last year everyone had a DS; I maybe saw 10 PSPs, max. One of the friends that accompanied me actually didn't bring out his PSP because he was embarrassed, LOL!

So do PSP's,dont you have a PSP? All you do is get a wireless boradband router and you get the connection started via WLAN(Wireless LAN) signal.They both go online so you cant judge it by that,oh and the PSP is becomeing more original with each game,they arent all on the PS2.

I see most of you like the DS.probly because you dont know much about the PSP.I prefer the PSP because:

1.It has better graphics then the DS.
2.It has better game titles.
3.You can go online without having to puchase a whole thirty to seventy dollar pack/adaptor.
4.The PSP has downloadable content,such as movies,music,pictures,and game demos.
5.The PSP is basically your computer,meda center,walkman,a must have for on the go people,and the only thing your gonna need on the go besides a cell phone.
6.It can connect with the PS3 console.
7.It has more battery power.

So to clarify things,the DS is extremeley nice,but the PSP has more advantages than the DS and has I faster way to get online if the router is not guarded by a WEP or other signal similar to it.

I get strange with stuff like this,as soon as I was born I was learning games inside and out.Im not a big Xbox fan but nintendo and sony consoles are pretty easy to learn.I dislike the Xbox or the 360 because when I got the 360 is exploded.My other friend got a PS3 and it caught on fire.I still like the PS3 though.I got a DS at launch and it didnt come with everything you can get with it today.Eventually the DS didnt get any good games for some time so I got bored.Then I got the PSP launch,I immediateley started learning stuff about it.I have two PSP's because one is broke(my bad I dropped it,but I got a metal case for the new one :D ).But anywyas,I just get over charged at stuff like this so please do not mind me im crazy.

Oh and basically this thread is asking opinion,we both have our differences and thats why we like different things.So what ever we have we like more.I have both but the PSP has better game titles to me.

I like both PSP for its features and DS for its games. But if you put this on the Nintendo board it would probably get a lot more votes, as this is in the Sony forum. I don't care about which is better anyway. I just play video games and have fun.

Fragile?Lol,ive dorpped mine a million times and its never broke.I got into a heavy traffic(computer traffic)and when I got home my PC took it as a threat and somehow broke it -_- .I have a new one now and my old one is almost repaired.:D

DS is the best. I just got the ds 2 days ago. It's fun and the battery last so long. I have both the psp and ds now and I think ds is better.
