So I'm talking with some Moderators on MSN, and one of them says to me, "So RFS... if someone doesn't post a demo of their game, they get an infraction?" and I say "Yes". So they he says "well what if they need developers?"

Then I had this idea. In this thread you can post ONCE and in your post you can say what languages or programs you are experienced in, and some way for you to be contacted. Essentially this is a "yellow pages" of fan game developers. Please do not discuss anything in this thread, make your post, and be on your way.

Here is an example of what you could post:
I have experience in the following: C++ and Game Maker.
I am a talented artist in Powerpoint here is an example of my work: (link to picture)
Here are some previous games I have helped on: (links)
You can email me at (EMAIL) or you can add me on MSN (MSN)
EDIT: Once you complete projects feel free to come back in here and edit them into your post!

Please, lets keep this clean and efficient so you call can easily get in contact with other people who know how to work on games. Only post if you would like to help other forum users with games, this is not a place to apply for beta testing. Programmers and skilled artists only please, thank you.

Im confused: Does this mean we are not allowed to make threads about our fan games, or we must have lots of graphics and evidence that we are legitimately making a game and not spamming? What if we dont want our graphics to be copied? I guess we do that at our own risk? I hope I didn't disobey any of the rules in your first post by posting this.

This thread is for people to post what experience they have making games. If you want to make a game and need some help, then you can ask one the people here to help you.

My bad,

RFS just doesn't want you starting a game, he wants you to have a playable version. Yes you have to prove that you are actually making the game, you don't have to post all your graphics, but you can just like post a few screenshots. Just to prove that your game is actually being made.

Waddle50008
17 July 2007, 02:09 PM
But does this mean we must have an up and running version of our game?

The rules are simple, if there is not a downloadable and playable demo of sort, you will more than likely get an infraction for spamming. There are WAY too may threads made for games that NEVER GET MADE, and are just "who wants to beta test a bunch of nothing, mememememe" posts. Graphics and layouts are no longer applicable, download or bust from here on out.

Basically, people are gonna be jealous of you, but you don't HAVE to post your graphics. You need a downloadable demo of your game, that's it. Unless someone reverse engineers your game, they won't get your graphics and sprites.

So your saying that we should actually make the games on a separate forum/messengers?
