I recently started this series, and it is surprisingly good. The story is about a teenager named Darren Shan who goes to a freak show, where he ends up stealing a spider. It turns out the spider belongs to an ancient vampire, and when Darren's friend, Steve, is bitten by the deadly arachnid, Darren must bargain with the vampire to save his friend. He becomes a half-vampire, and is forced to travel the world with the vampire, Larten Crepsley. I am on book seven right now, and I advise you to read them too.

i finished the whole sries in about 4 days. its good. you guys should also check out demon keeper

i have a story about these amazing, awesome books.

1ce apon a time, i was lookin for a great horror book for school. I came across Cirque and thought it was stupid, looked for more, none looked cool. So i got that 1. told my friend and we started to read the series. At about book 3 or 4 i saw other kids reading them. Then when i was close to the end, i saw that like every kid in my grade was reading them! Im like, WOW i started a huge Cirque DU Freak sensation!

ya to me thats the greatest series of all time,i read all of them, i started reading then in 6th grade and had to wait a year for the last one to come, im so glad my librarian at my school recomended that book :)
