Pre-Defined Images

As most of us are aware, there are several pre-defined avatars available for anyone to use. But would it be possible to add pre-defined signature pictures for users to use?

Currently there is no feature for it, but it is a good idea. Whether people would use them I don't know.

People would definitely use them. People use the pre-defined avatars already.

Yeah it sounds like a very good idea, althought making the required modifications may take a while, but I am not too sure.

Thats a great idea, I can do simple things for the pre-made sigs and avvys. Hopefully a mod or admin reads this, and considers it.

I can add pre-made avatars to the selection (make a directory for Official CP avatars and then Fan-Made).

We are working on a few other parts of the forum, so eventually I will post a submission thread where you can post your fan-made avatars.

We can't do premade sigs though.

Alrighty then. While we're still on the topic of avatars, would vBulletin be able to handle animated GIF files if I or anyone else were to submit one when the thread comes?

I would guess so.

It's just an ftp upload interface on the admin control panel. Whether it checks for the limits I don't know, but .GIFs should work as long as they are small enough.

vB accepts GIF, JPEG, and PNG images.

Also, would vBulletin check for the file size, or should we, as the ones submitting the images, check first?

Checking yourself would be a good idea and avoid embarrassement too when the thread is created.
