Hello,

Yes we all want to be a moderator. But why do we REALLY want this job? Some people say they want to help the forum; others just want their penguin to be popular. People who want to help the forum, have the best chances of being a moderator. Making good post is a great way to help your self become a moderator, with words such as, "omg or lol" will give you the name as a classy person. Saying "lol, or omg" will show that you are not ready for the job as a moderator. Start off as a user, thinking of your self as a pre trainee moderator in training. Don’t backseat moderate, but be the best user possible. Help out other penguins with post that show good grammar and have meaning to them. By asking me, this is the best way possible to show that you are ready for the moderator position.

Penguins that want to be moderators to be popular WILL NOT, (and I mean it) will never ever become a moderator.... ever. You don’t have what it takes if that’s the reason.

"I post good, I talk with good grammar, and I want to be a moderator to help the better of the forum, however I'm not getting the job! What do I do?"

My best answer for this would be, do you know the game enough to become a moderator? Because this is a club penguin forum, you might not get picked right away until its clear to the moderators/admins that you are ready for the job. Yes making good post and following the rules are important, but knowing what you are moderating is important as well.

If you have been banned for spamming and want to be a moderator, your chance is not over. Im not sure if RFS said it once that he was banned before he was an moderator. That goes to show you that even the admin of this forum was once banned. Dont give up.

You might be saying, "FoxTrot, why should we listen to you, you’re not a moderator. Your name is black." well I am a moderator on serial forums. And these Myfreeforum.com forums don’t really count since every user who posts is a mod or admin. I have experience behind me. So take my word on this, I know what I’m talking about.

Check this thread for some more info on being a moderator (bottem of page)

This is a nice thread. It is cool. But you also didn't post the other requirements of being a moderator. About where you have to live and age.

This is a nice thread. It is cool. But you also didn't post the other requirements of being a moderator. About where you have to live and age.i'm not aware of there being an age limit and where you live. I'm talking about these club penguin forums. Not club penguin its self.

Miniclip once had a moderator who was underaged, thenhe admitted to it and was fired and banned. Forum moderators only need to be over the age 13. Since thats the legal age to be on a forum.

I'm pretty sure this is what you meant. If its not please post again if I was worng.

good advice, but i don't want to be one, seems alot of hard work to be a mod on a forum with alot of membersI agree, its a lot of work. But its not as hard as you think, having the report button is a life savor.

I made this thread so users get an idea of what it takes to be a moderator. I'm going to edit every here and there, so its going to be up to date.

I didn't read it. You can't post off a guide for modship, the best will be chosen. Barely anyone so far has a dim chance at being a moderator, and you're basically generalizing everything ever said with this title. No ordinary penguin can work here, yes, that's what it is. Work. Not secret agent biz, it's a job you have to do. Reading the rules and this guide isn't quite enough, sorry.

Not reading the thread then posting in it is breaking the rules. And yes your right the best will be chosen. I highly dought it will be you because your perma banned on the main miniclip forums, and second you dont like club penguin and your posting in the club penguin forums!

I'm not going to fall into your fights that your trying to start.

I have a feeling you want to be a mod, Foxtrot.
You dont see me sucking up to RFS or anybody else. I posted a thread to explain what it takes to be a moderator... if you would like to assume that I want to be a moderator so be it.

so you don't want to be a mod then? sorry for the accusation .I'm not going to answer it since i'm not asking for the job. If they think im right for the job they will pick me. Same goes for you and everybody else.

It is a good thread, but, it is no need. Just like royalette said.

They chose the best.

You can not TRY you're hardest to be a mod. You have to be your self, and they will pick you if they think you are good.

FoxTrot, why should we listen to you, you’re not a moderator. Your name is black?

Haha, just kidding. Nice thread, indeed. I don't get why people want to be moderators so much. I've seen people who suck up so much, and start posting like robots. I hate that. (I did the posting like a robot thing for a week or two. I was sure I'd be a mod. I was lame.) Sure, being a mod gives you power, and sometimes respect, but, it isn't worth obsessing over. The odds are, you won't get it, anyways.

To be a mod, just post. You'll get recognized eventually, if you're right for it.

It does seem that you would like to be a moderator. Im getting this from the section where you say "I have experience behind me on other forums". This guide was created to help others with moderating, not yourself. Giving out your resume on moderating wasnt nessecary. This guide was helpful, but it explained this same thing in another sticky. Nice try though.

So, by posting a thread that tells others how to become a mod, you're saying he's just trying to become one himself? That makes no sense. I guess I can go around telling every person who is a good poster that they're just trying to become a moderator?

Some people make good posts just to be a good person, you know.

It doesn't matter how much people want to be a moderator, the only way they will ever get promoted is if we (the staff) think they deserve the job. That means following the rules and helping other members out.

For now though, we have already chosen the people who are next in line to become moderators.
