Anyone here like Stephen King? I just finished Salems Lot by him, and thought it to be absolutely amazing. The man's a genius. What do you think? Have you read any of his books? If so, what ones and did you enjoy them?

I'm thinking about buying Cell. The cover looks cool, and what's better than cell phones turning everyone into homicidal maniacs?

Anyway, to any Stephen King fans out there that have yet to read Salems Lot, you must read it. One of most awesome books I've ever read.

No offense, but based on your "dark" poetry. I'm not suprised that you enjoy his books.

I like the Secret Window book, I hated the Secret Window movie. The book was really creepy, and by the the end of the movie, I was shocked they didn't say it was A Lifetime Original Movie. Johnny Depp was awesome, but it was just so boring. Trust me, the book ran circles around the movie.

No, I am not. I would really appreciate it if people would stop calling me such. One of these days I may become extremely angry over it, and I am not a person to make angry.

Now, back to Stephen King please.

please do not kill me with your emo knife. :( Nah, I'm sure your not goth/emo someone who is goth/emo doesn't name on of their first threads started "My Freak-ay poetry" Because they just don't.

ONTOPIC: I don't read Stephen King because it's just as bad as watching it on the big screen because while your reading it you picture it in your mind so it freaks you out...and I'm extremely easy to freak out so no.

Its actually "Room 1408", but I agree with you, it looks sweet.

Also kinda disappointed that its PG-13, I wanted to see some serious R-rated stuff! But whatever, from what the trailers say, its gonna be awesome!

I've seen his movies "1408" and "The Mist"

And I've read part of his book "Bag of Bones" (or something like that)

I didn't like either movie particularly much, and Bag Of Bones could not possibly contain any more profanity  I put it down after 50 pages.

The short(ish) stroy, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, is one of the best I've ever read.

EDIT: The moive 1408 was really bad. It was atrocious.
