The Official Underground Thread

Since a new feature in Diamond and pearl is the Underground,i though that it might need a thread.

Summary: The underround is a vast network of tunnels right under your feet.Here you can dig up cool items like shards,fossils,Plates,spheres,etc.

What each item is:

Shere: This is what you use as currency to trade with hikers.Trading can give ya traps,goods,and other stuff for the underground.

Trap: A trap is well...a Trap!In case you live under a rock,Traps are sudden events triggered by you stepping on hidden pads stuck in the ground.A variety of things can happen from getting hit by bolders,getting flung in dirrections,and stuff like that.To rid of a trap you must blow in the mic,tap the screen,or rub the screen.Move traps stop when you hit a wall or another trap.Confuse traps were out overtime.

Goods: goods are objects you can use to decorate your secret base.Nohing else too it.

Treasure!: This includes fossils,plates,heart scales,evolution stones,and alot more.Treasures are brought up the the surface by choosing to brign em with you in the treasure section.

Fossils(jurrasic park): These are basicly parts of dead pokemon stored in rock.Yuck.Anyways you revive them at Oregurg Museam via the fossil guy.Just walk in and out when you give it too him,"you too too long!now take this shiny pokemanz!"

Plates: these are used to changed arceus' type.Nuff' said.

Shards: You can trade these to some guy for evolution stones(better to mine em though...)

heart scale: Give these to the move tutor man and he will teach your pokemon a selected move

All the fossils:

old amber: aerodactyl

root fossil: lileep

helix fossil: omanyte

Dome fossil: kabuto

claw fossil: anoirth

skull fossil: craninos

Armor fossil: sheildon


Anyways,more will be added soon.Stuff like all the spheres,trap stradegy,Mining guide and more will be added later.Also you can give your stuff about underground and discuss about the underground here.

A tip about spheres:

Impatient for your Spheres to grow? Forgot where you buried them? An easy way to get big Spheres is to combine them. Simply bury any sShere in the ground, then continue to bury all of that colour Sphere in the exact same spot until you run out of that colour Sphere (you can't mix colours.) When you're finished, close the menu and press A facing the spot where they were buried and a single, larger Sphere will be dug up!

How it works: When you bury several Spheres, the game adds about one-half of each Sphere you bury after the first Sphere to its original value.

You're welcome. I figured that out myself because it takes too long to wait for them and remember where they are.

Also, Plates raise the power of the type it would change if Arceus were holding it.

I.E: Fist Plate raises the power of Fighting Types and would make Arceus a Fighting Type.
