Should we be able to re-use names on CP?

I was just wondering, I have penguins on my buddy list that are either perma banned or never come on anymore with really cool names. Should we be able to have these names? I think Cp should send the user an email if he/she has been idle for more than 5 months telling them we are going to let someone else use there name unless they become more active. If nothing changes there names are taken either permanently or the new user is the name they want squared. What do you people think of this:?:

That would be good for the idle part. But what if they did come back on? There would just be a clone of two penguins?

Wll than we could make the new name like Notres name. 'the name'squared. Then both people will be happy.

I have wondered about the same thing. I think there is an idle time on accounts, but am not sure what the limit is. I have lost a few back-up penguins this way. I also have some perma banned buddies on my list and wondered why CP never just totally removed them from the game. Maybe that's why names could not be used again...because they are still in the system. Perhaps CP would function more efficiently IF the banned player lists would be "cleaned up".

I like your idea,I knew the orignal "Robo" and he was perma-banned for hacking.So that should delete him so someone else can use his name.If someone is Perma-Banned what is the point keeping him around?

If that penguin is popular, then if another person is having the same name then people will mistake that person wrongly.

In other words, people would take your fame.

Penguins do get deleted if inactive for 12 months. My mates account got perma banned and 12 months later it was deleted

There is a limit. I think it's like 2 months.. My freind got an account deleted.

If a non-member doesn't use it's acount for more then 30 days it is erased.

I think it should be like my space, where they delete you're account, if you remain idle too long.
